RPM SC10 front shock tower

The goals for the new RPM front shock tower for the Associated SC10, T4 & GT2 were to improve strength and durability, improve crash survivability and help reduce damage to other vital components. The T-shaped structure of the front shock tower provides some serious strength and rigidity while the top-secret blend of materials we use provides unmatched durability. Although the SC10, T4 & GT2 each have different requirements of the front shock tower, the RPM version integrates all those needs for unmatched support of the shocks on all three trucks while the redesigned front bumper mount base for the SC10 has been strengthened to sustain repeated impacts from the stock front bumper. All this performance and durability is wrapped up in a part that weighs slightly less than the stock piece it replaces.

RPM SC10 rear shock tower

RPM have produced these shock towers for the SC10 & T4 that are designed to improve the structure and durability of these awesome racing trucks. The I-beam shape found along the tops and sides of tower provide some serious strength and rigidity while the chemical make up of their proprietary blend of nylons provides unmatched durability. The end result is a new shock tower design that will rigidly support the rear shocks while allowing the part to survive under extreme crash situations. Additionally, the unique nature of the materials help reduce transferred impact energy into the fragile chassis and chassis components. By absorbing that impact energy instead of transferring it on, this shock tower will improve overall crash survivability of the truck. All this and not one gram is added to the weight of the vehicle.

RPM SC10 Rear axle carriers

New for the SC10, RPM have released this rear axle carrier using the larger outer bearings found in Associated’s #9730 axle carriers. The larger outer bearing supports the axle better, providing over 1/16′ more axle contact than two 3/16′ x 3/8′ standard bearings, for smoother, longer lasting performance. With the larger outer bearing and RPM proprietary materials, they found the perfect blend of strength and durability for a whole range of Associated 1/10th scale electric vehicles.

RPM Slash 2wd adjustable body mounts

RPM have released adjustable body posts for the Traxxas Slash 2wd, designed for durability and strength while still allowing you to change the body height on the truck. The unique body post mounting system allows the option of using the stock body height on the chassis. The body can also be lowered as much as 3/16” or raised as much as 3/8” simply by moving the posts up or down on the mounts. This simple, yet clever design is strong enough to handle the toughest of conditions while still allowing enough flex to absorb impacts that could otherwise damage other more fragile internal components of the chassis. Everything about the body mounts and posts are beefier than stock, from the thicker than stock screw mounts to the twin screws holding the body posts on to the mounts. They also use an I-beam shape throughout each mount, which provides the strength these parts need for those less than perfect landings.

RPM Adjustable Height Slash 4×4 body mounts

RPM’s new adjustable height body mounts for the Traxxas Slash 4×4 are designed to give you optional body height positions where stock left you none. This version of the Slash 4×4 body mount starts off lower than stock by 1/8” (or approx. 3.2mm) and they supply a pair of molded spacers to allow you the option of a stock height body position using the thin spacer under the body mount. If monster suspension travel is needed or you just like the higher stance and larger wheel well openings a taller body mount provides, you can increase the height by 1/8” using the thicker of the two spacers. In extreme cases, both spacers may be used for a full 1/4”* (6.35mm) of extra body height. Engineered with new, larger ribs into the mounts to provide extra rigidity and support for the body while keeping weight to a minimum.

RPM Traxxas shock wrenches

RPM have introduced shock body and cap wrenches for the Traxxas line of 1/10th scale shocks. Molded from one of their secret blends of nylons, it makes them a perfect choice to keep those expensive aluminium shocks from getting scuffed up from metal tools. The Body Wrench slips effortlessly over the body of the shock while the hex of the shock body seats in an upper recess. The Cap Wrench then slips over the shock cap and with a simple twist of the wrist, the cap easily unscrews off of the shock body. No extra tools required and virtually no possibility of scuffing up or damaging the body or shock cap. RPM Shock Body and Cap Wrenches are designed for use on most 1/10th scale Traxxas shocks including the aluminium ‘Big Bore’ versions. However, they will not work with Traxxas Revo or Jato shocks.

RPM Blitz in-line steering blocks

RPM Blitz in-line steering blocks

We reported previously on RPM’s new rear bearing carriers for the HPI Blitz and Firestorm lines of vehicles that incorporated 5x11mm bearings, improving durability and performance significantly. That same bearing size is now available for the front end of those same vehicles, with their new in-line steering blocks incorporating a 5x11mm bearing, which has nearly twice the dynamic load rating as the stock 5x10mm bearing, making a strong truck nearly bulletproof. These blocks incorporate all stock geometry for a perfect fit and are molded from the company’s ultra durable blend of nylons for a significant improvement in durability and strength as well.
