Scorpion Vanguard S2-50 Clubrace speed controller

Scorpion have introduced their new Vanguard S2-50 Clubrace speed controller. Aimed at spec class racing the compact ESC can be run with down to 13.5T motors, it features a 6V/3A BEC system, an aluminium heatsink, a 50A current rating as well as blinky mode and zero timing settings along an adjustable RPM limit mode to equal the performance when running different motors in RPM-limited spec racing classes. A V-Link cable for increased adjustably and a fan unit for racing in high ambient temperatures are available separately.

Scorpion Vanguard S3-80 Turbo Stock speed controller

Scorpion have introduced their new Vanguard S3-80 Turbo Stock brushless speed controller. Building on the S3-140 Modify and S3-80 Super Stock ESCs the new Turbo Stock was especially developed for demanding Stock class racing with 8.5T to 25.5T motors and it offers a wide range of timing and turbo adjustments to make it usable for competitive boosted class racing. The controller is built using military-spec components, it utilises an aluminium heatsink case and features a 6V/3A BEC system, multiple protection features and it is usable with both sensored and sensorless motors. The V-Link cable for easy setup using a PC and a high-speed cooling fan are available optionally.

Scorpion keeps releasing more winding options of their newly introduced RR-3420 competition brushless motor. Offering the same features as the previously released variants the 21.5T motor comes with a 12.5mm high-torque rotor for high braking power and performance while keeping the operation temperatures low. The motor is built to meet ROAR specifications and it is available now.

Adding to the recently announced 10.5T and 13.5T ROAR-Spec RR-3420 motor is Scorpion’s latest stock racing offering, the 17.5T. Using the same high-airflow aluminium can, screw-type 12.5mm rotor and high-quality stator and winding materials, the motor is meant to deliver exceptional power in all stock racing classes. It features gold-anodised front and back plates, a black anodised heatsink design can and the large vent openings allow to check the stator for its specifications. The motor awaits ROAR approval by the time you read this and it is available now.

Following the a 10.5T version Scorpion now also introduced a 13.5T variant of their all-new RR-3420 ROAR-spec brushless motor. Designed using a black anodised aluminium high-airflow can and a 12.5mm high-torque rotor the spec racing motor is made for competition use and it currently awaits ROAR approval. Apart from being of 13.5T specifications the motor sports the same features as the faster 10.5T variant with a screw-type rotor surface for cooling, high-grade silicon steel stator material and high-purity copper wires.

Scorpion have introduced their all-new RR-3420 brushless motor. Designed to meet ROAR specifications the motor features an 7075 aluminium case with heatsink design and several cooling openings that also allow to check the stator specifications. Furthermore the motor utilises high-temperature magnets and high-purity copper wires for minimal internal resistance. The stator material is high-grade silicon steel and a built-in cooling fan reduces the internal temperatures while a patented screw-type rotor surface increases flux density and maximises cooling. The motor is currently available as 10.5T variant and should get ROAR approval soon.

Scorpion RS-3420 3.5T brushless motor

Scorpion have introduced the RS-3420 electric brushless motor in 3.5T configuration. The super-fast modified motor is best used in 1/10th Touring Car and 1/12th scale applications and it is equipped with a 12.5mm rotor for maximum torque, braking power and performance. Optional 12.0mm high-speed and 12.3mm all-round rotors can be purchased to fine-tune the motor to different track conditions. As with all RS-3420 series motors the 3.5T variant features a screw-type rotor surfaces for improved cooling, a built-in cooling fan as well as a built-in temperature sensor.

Scorpion portable USB charger

Coming from Scorpion is a portable USB charger for the use with 2S to 6S LiPo battery packs. The compact devise is powered by an external LiPo battery that is connected through its balancer port and it allows to charge mobile phones, tablets and other gadgets with an 5V/2A output. The USB charger utilises several safety features including short circuit, overload, over temperature and low-voltage protection. The charger measures compact 78x25x17mm and it is available from now on.
