2024 SIGP International Offroad GP – Registration

Sunpadow, the organisers of the SIGP International Offroad Grand Prix which makes a return to the international racing calendar this year, have announced that registration will open on November 1st at www.arc-chn.com . Counting Germany’s Joern Neumann and American Ryan Lutz as past Champions, the SIGP International Offroad Grand Prix takes place at the 3-circle ARC International RC Racing Track in Xiamen, China, from December 11-15. The same venue that hosted the 2017 IFMAR 1:10 Electric Offroad World Championships, the race schedule will be made up of 5 classes including racing for 1:4 offroad bikes. With the main action expected in 1:8 Nitro Buggy and 1:8 eBuggy, a number of international drivers are expected to be announced shortly to battle it out for some of the SIGP’s total prize money of almost $25,000. Coelho confirmed for Sunpadow International GP

Sunpadow Batteries has confirmed that back to back Touring Car World Champion Bruno Coelho will return for the return of the SIGP International RC Onroad Grand Prix which takes place from March 20-24. Having established itself as one of the leading annual international RC events in China and attracted many of the sport’s top drivers, the last edition in 2019 saw Coelho take the Touring Car win with his Xray. Catering for both electric and nitro onroad, the 2024 SIGP will see racing for 1:8 GP onroad, 1:8 EP onroad, 1:10 Modified Touring Car and 1:10 Stock Touring Car and will continue to offer one of the biggest prize funds in the sport with total prize money of $20,000 on offer. Having attended previous editions of the SIGP as well as the 2017 IFMAR Electric Offroad Championship which was also hosted at the huge double track venue, Red RC will be travelling to Xiamen to cover the return of international competition on the Sunpadow Circuit.

2024 SIGP International Grand Prix – Announcement

Sunpadow Batteries has announced that the SIGP International RC Car Grand Prix Onroad will be resumed in 2024 with the event taking place March 20-24 (Updated). The Sunpadow International Grand Prix (SIGP) event had established itself as one of the leading annual international RC event in China and attracted many of the sports top drivers with World Champion Bruno Coelho the winner of the onroad edition in 2019. Taking place at the 2017 Electric Offroad Championship venue in Xiamen, both the onroad and offroad tracks are built side by side next to Sunpadow’s production facility. The SIGP will continue to offer one of the biggest prizes in the sport with total prize money of $25,000 on offer over the categories which include 1:8 GP onroad, 1:8 EP onroad, 1:10 Modified Touring Car and 1:10 Stock Touring Car. Registration will open on January 20th, 2024.

Sunpadow launch new ERC battery range

Sunpadow has announced the launch of its new ERC range of entry level batteries. Best known for providing battery power to drivers like newly crowned European 4WD Buggy Champion Michal Orlowski and Touring Car World Champion Bruno Coelho, the ERC range is aimed more at the hobby end of the market. Paul Crompton joins Sunpadow team

Sunpadow has announced that front running British 1:10 Offroad racer Paul Crompton has joined their official Race Team for the new season. Also joining Xray as his new chassis sponsor for 2023, Crompton will use Sunpadow lipo batteries to power his new fleet in all races and commenting on his new battery sponsor said, “Sunpadow has good reputation for high-quality lipo battery, I am very honoured and full of confidence to join the team. I believe with the support of Sunpadow, there would be an outstanding season ahead of me.”

Maker joins Sunpadow team

Sunpadow batteries has announced that multiple Australian National Touring Champion Ryan Maker has officially joined Sunpadow team. A driver with a wealth of top level international race experience, Maker is also responsible for the popular brand RC Maker which makes both aftermarket parts and racing accessories. With his racing now powered by Sunpadow lipo race batteries, Ryan said, “It is a great honour to work with Sunpadow team in the new season, I will try my best to face all the competitions, and at the same time, provide more assistance in terms of power for the Sunpadow drivers in my country”.

Sunpadow International Grand Prix (SIGP) returns in ’23

Sunpadow has announced that the SIGP International RC Car Grand Prix will be resumed in 2023. The Sunpadow International Grand Prix (SIGP) event had established itself as one of the leading annual international RC event and attracted many of the sports top drivers. World Champion Bruno Coelho was the winner of the onroad edition in 2019 while in 2018 Ryan Lutz won the Offroad edition and a year earlier Joern Nuemann took the win from Atsushi Hara. While actual race dates are still to be finalised Offroad is expected to be held in August, along with on-road in In October or November. Taking place at the 2017 Electric Offroad Championship venue in Xiamen, the SIGP will continue to offer one of the biggest prize as before with the total bonus for the two series as high as $ 70,000. Sunpadow adds 4 new additions to their Platin series

Sunpadow have released four new high-voltage (HV) LiPo batteries to their high-end Platin series. The new HV packs will further improve the competition-grade application coverage of Platin series products. The super-conductive material used in its formula can greatly reduce the common swelling phenomenon of model car batteries while improving the discharge performance. The four new products released include a 8200mAh stick, 6500mAh & 6100mAh stick ULCG and a 5500mAh shorty pack, which work in 1/10 ISTC Stock/Modified as well as electric offroad classes, etc.
