Viktor Wilck joins Sweep Racing

Sweep racing have announced that they have signed 2012 Reedy Race champion Viktor Wilck as their new factory driver through to the end of the 2013 season. Viktor will play a important part in testing new tires along with Jilles Groskamp beginning right after the world championship. Viktor had this to say:

After some tests with the Sweep tyres I’m very excited to join the Sweep racing team. As I spend a lot of time racing I’ve seen the commitment and effort sweep put in to there production to make the perfect tire! I’m looking forward to test and develop new tire that make for better racing.

Sweep Racing 308 Double Action tires

Sweep Racing’s all new 1/8th scale 308 Double Action carcass has a very unique patter with a pair of flexible spikes facing in opposite directions to grab at anything in any conditions. Thanks to the unique design, the 308 delivers consistent lap times throughout it’s life due to the accurate balance achieved in design and construction quality control. Also the tests, conducted by Renaud Savoya, show that when the top of spikes wears out, the bottom of the step pin making contacts with the surface to keep your machine in touch with the track during long main races with minimal ballooning. Available in four compounds (Silver, Blue, Red & White), before June.

Sweep Racing Tendroid 1/10 offroad front tire

Sweep Racing have released their new Tendroid 1/10 offroad front tire with grey medium foam. Just like its big brother 10Droids front will works best on indoor clay surfaces and there will also be a tyre only version for the drivers who wish to use their own inserts. Also new from Sweep are these flexible nozzle for glue bottles. The 2 step neck design is usable on all our Sweep glue bottles and thanks to the precision molding work, this nozzle keeps glue from leaking. If it gets clogged, you can trim the nozzle back a little at a time for extended life of glue.

Renaud Savoya signs to Sweep Racing

Sweep Racing have signed 3 time European Champion Renaud Savoya. The French factory Xray driver, who previously raced for Pro-Line, had the following to say about the deal:

Here we are! After many tests in different conditions, my choice naturally went to Sweep. They showed me an unbelievable potential, as for the products and the people. It’s a real pleasure to work with such great guys, as they always do their best to improve and develop the best products worldwide. Sweep Racing 2012 clothing line up

Sweep Racing have introduced their 2012 clothing line up as modeled by these attractive women. First up is the hooded sweater which comes in charcoal grey and sports the Sweep across the chest and the SR logo large across the back. Next up is the Winter Jacket which is made of a fleece material and sports a large collar and elasticized cuffs to keep the wind out. This jacket features embroidered logos on the chest arm and across the shoulders. Finally the ubiquitous t-shirt has been given a make over with front print receiving an updated and the rear now sporting a large SR logo. Available now in a full range of sizes.

Sweep Racing Tendroid 1/10th buggy rear tire

Sweep Racing have released their first 1/10th offroad buggy rear tire, the Tendroid. The Bar pattern was designed to have maximum forward bite on hard packed clay tracks, while droids control the side bite. Combined together, the 10droid has optimum traction and a long life span. Available in 4 different rubber compounds, Silver (Ultra soft), Blue (Extra Soft), Red (Soft) and White (Medium), available to suit any track conditions.

Sweep Racing V3 buggy wheel

Sweep Racing are pleased to announce the release of the V3 Dish wheel for 1/8 scale buggies. Sporting a weight of 34 gram at a diameter of 83mm the wheels are both strong and light. Although very light, they are also exceptionally strong and measure the maximum diameter of 83mm. They also feature ten ribs to provide a rigid structure to prevent excessive flex and create a very true running wheel. The gluing beads have a sand paper like finish to improve bonding performance with the tires without additional preparation. An additional glue path on the gluing beads keep the glue from overflowing out of the bead and prevents an overflow into the insert.

Sweep Racing Strong Glue Jr.

Do you ever reach into your RC bag for some tire glue and notice it has either dried out, or the nozzle has become clogged? This can be a frustrating and expensive problem as it leaves a lot of tire glue wasted. Sweep Racing is now offering their popular Strong glue in ‘Jr.’ size bottles with a child resistant cap to prevent clogging and to also avoid the purchases of an excessive amount of glue. You can now actually finish an entire bottle of glue.
