Borja Hernandez joins Sweep Racing

Having just joined Mugen from GS Racing, Sweep have announced that top Spanish off road driver Borja Hernandez has joined their team. With new off road products due from the Korean company, such as their V2 wheel, EXP foam insert and new tire called Exagon, Borja will play a big role in development of these as well as new tires, including those for truggy. Borja had this to say about the deal:

Sweep Racing is a hard working company, with possibilities to improve their actual products. They have new ideas and are motivated to make their tires better and better. The company values the drivers input and the quality of all the products is good. I am happy to be joining the team.

Sweep Racing have introduced their new EXP-30E 1/10th scale rubber tires. Featuring superior traction levels compared to their successful Sweep ‘R’ and ‘QTS’ series, they use a new rubber compound to gain maximum traction. The diameter of these new tires is 64.5mm, between the ‘R’ (65.5mm) and the ‘QTS’ (63.5mm), to work well on both carpet and asphalt surfaces. Supplied in Sweep’s exclusive EXP rubber 30 compound.

Sweep Racing have introduced their complete line of silicone oil, which have been laboratory blended and calibrated to ensure the highest possible consistency and quality from bottle to bottle. Based on the industry-proven cSt rating, the new line of oils will be easy to adjust your shock or diff. With thinner oils suitable for shocks (up to Medium), and thicker oils suitable for differentials, you will be able to find the correct viscosity you need for your application. Supplied in a 70ml square shape bottle, their design makes it very easy to squeeze and prevents it from rolling off your workbench, and the slim nozzle makes filling easy and prevents excessive oil from being squeezed out. The back of the bottle has a small viewport that allows you to see the oil level inside the bottle.

New from Sweep are these new EXP 1/10 touring car wheels. Made from high quality Dupont nylon, they have more flex than the type A dish wheel from Sweep and are a perfect fit for Sweep and Sorex tires. Available in white and fluorescent yellow. For gas cars, Sweep have released a premium silicone gasket for .21 engines that is very strong and resistant against heat and chemicals. They are a perfect fit to Novarossi engine and most other popular engines too. Finally there is new fuel tubing that is made from high quality, and very strong, silicone and the clear material allows you to easily locate any problems with your fuel line.

Sweep Racing EXP 10th molded inserts

Following on from the recent announcement by Sweep Racing about their new EXP range of products comes the company’s new EXP 1/10th on road molded inserts. Coming in soft pink, they are 0.3mm thicker and 1mm wider than the original Sweep inserts and are tapered so the insert sits perfectly against the tire. These changes claim to result in faster laptimes, giving quicker driver response and more consistency.

Sweep Racing have released their new high traction type EXP-36E 1/10 on road rubber racing tire, which feature superior traction levels compared to the company’s successful Sweep ‘R’ and ‘QTS’ series tires. Using a new rubber compound to gain maximum traction, the diameter is in between the ‘R’ (65.5mm) and the ‘QTS’ (63.5mm), which is 64.5mm to work well on both carpet and asphalt surfaces. These tires, the first in their new EXP series, are designed for best use in track temperatures starting from 33 degrees celcius.

Sweep Racing have introduced their new 1/8th scale buggy tire, called the Record Break. A very unique and versatile tire, it works in a large variety of conditions, from loose to high traction. Due to the split hammer pin design, the tire claims to provide great forward traction as well as quicker cornering speeds. Available pre mounted or loose, in sets of 4, they come in the red soft compound and blue extra soft compound.
