Takashima D-13 enters Titanium Chassis production

Takashima D-13 has announced that it has successfully completed the development and production of its first titanium chassis plates, marking another milestone in the company’s expanding range of premium chassis options.  Machined from high-grade titanium alloy, the new chassis combines exceptional strength with low weight, offering a unique balance of rigidity and controlled chassis flex.  The excellent strength-to-weight ratio allows the chassis to maintain high structural stability while lowering the overall centre of gravity, resulting in more predictable handling and improved consistency throughout a race.  For stock-class touring car racing, where carrying corner speed and maintaining momentum are critical, the lower centre of gravity helps reduce chassis roll and improves direction changes, while the controlled flex characteristics provide excellent mid-corner stability and consistent rear traction.  The result is a chassis that is easy to drive, highly repeatable and capable of delivering consistent lap times over long race durations.  In addition to its on-track performance, titanium offers outstanding corrosion resistance and excellent fatigue durability, ensuring long-term reliability even under demanding racing conditions.  With the successful introduction of its titanium manufacturing capability, Takashima D-13 plans to gradually expand the range with titanium chassis options for a variety of popular touring car platforms.  The new titanium series will complement the company’s existing chassis lineup, giving racers another premium material choice and even greater setup possibilities for different track conditions and driving styles.

Takashima D-13 CAT PB Concept Spring Steel Chassis

Following extensive track testing and continuous refinement, Takashima D-13 has released its new 1.2mm Concept Spring Steel Chassis for the Schumacher CAT PB 1:10 4WD Buggy.  Developed specifically for modern high-grip racing conditions, compared to a conventional aluminium chassis of the same design, the spring steel version features a significantly thinner profile while maintaining exceptional strength, resulting in a lower centre of gravity and improved overall chassis balance.  Thanks to the unique material properties of spring steel, the chassis also delivers a more controlled flex characteristic, allowing the suspension to work more efficiently under load.  Unlike aluminium, spring steel has a much higher elastic modulus, enabling the chassis to return to its original shape more consistently after repeated loading.  This provides more repeatable handling, improved chassis consistency and a more predictable driving feel throughout a race.  On the track, the 1.2mm spring steel chassis offers increased cornering stability, improved rear traction and more precise steering response, while maintaining excellent support through high-speed sections.  These characteristics make it particularly well suited to high-grip carpet and clay tracks, where excessive chassis flex can reduce consistency and overall performance.  Designed to combine a low centre of gravity with an ideal balance of rigidity and controlled flex, the Takashima D-13 Concept Spring Steel Chassis provides Schumacher CAT PB racers with a stable, confidence-inspiring platform capable of delivering consistent lap times under demanding race conditions.

Takashima D-13 B7.1 2WD Buggy Spring Steel Chassis

Following the success of their spring steel chassis in the touring car category,  Takashima D-13 has ventured into the offroad market with the release of a 1.2mm Spring Steel Chassis for the hugely popular Team Associated RC10B7.1 2WD Buggy.  Having delivered an ultra-low centre of gravity, increased corner speed, and a unique driving feel in touring car they are keen to bring this technology to the buggy category.  Designed especially for high-grip carpet and clay tracks, the Takashima D-13 B7.1 Spring Steel Chassis offers drivers a completely different driving experience compared to a traditional aluminium chassis.  Manufactured from premium spring steel and weighing 166 grams, the chassis combines excellent torsional flexibility with outstanding longitudinal rigidity, allowing the suspension to work more effectively while maintaining stability under acceleration and braking.  Compared to a conventional aluminium chassis, the spring steel version provides improved mechanical grip, smoother weight transfer, increased corner speed, and more consistent handling on high-traction surfaces.  With its lower centre of gravity and distinctive flex characteristics, the chassis gives the car a more planted and predictable feel, making it easier to carry speed through corners while maintaining excellent stability.  Just like our touring car chassis, the B7.1 chassis is designed to use 120-degree countersunk screws throughout.  Racers can choose between Hex or Torx T7 Grade 12.9 hardened carbon steel screw sets, depending on their preference.

Takashima D-13 Mi10 Front Bulkhead Reinforcement Plate

Takashima D-13 has introduced this carbon fibre front bulkhead reinforcement plate for the Schumacher Mi10 Touring Car.  Available in three thickness options, 0.5mm, 0.8mm and 1.0mm, it is designed to significantly increase front-end chassis rigidity, reducing bulkhead flex under cornering and braking loads, and helping to maintain more consistent left-right suspension geometry.  The chassis benefits from a more direct steering response, improved steering precision, and enhanced high-speed stability, with a more consistent front-end behaviour during braking into corners.  On the other hand, the increase in front-end stiffness reduces overall chassis flex, which may slightly decrease mechanical front grip. On high-grip surfaces, this typically results in a more stable and easier-to-drive platform, while on low-grip conditions, suspension setup adjustments may be required to recover optimal front-end bite.  Overall, the bulkhead reinforcement plate is primarily aimed at improving front-end structural stability, delivering more precise steering, greater consistency, and a more predictable overall handling balance.

Takashima D-13 V2 Rear Body Support

Takashima D-13 has released the second generation of its Rear Body Support.  Designed to prevent lightweight body shells from deforming at high speeds while reducing the risk of cracking around the rear wheel arch area, by helping the body shell maintain its intended aerodynamic shape, the support contributes to more consistent downforce, improved durability and stable on-track performance.  The V2 Rear Body Support includes four different wire heights, allowing racers to fine-tune the fitment for various body shells and mounting positions. Designed with a focus on convenience, strength and durability, the system provides effective rear body support while minimising any influence on chassis flex characteristics, ensuring the car retains its intended handling balance and performance.

Takashima D-13 Mi10 | A800RR V2 Easylock Battery mount

Takashima D-13 has released the second generation of its Easylock Battery Holder system for Schumacher’s Mi10 and Awesomatix A800RR electric touring cars.  Designed to simplify battery changes, the system allows racers to quickly remove and secure the battery by simply pressing and rotating the carbon battery retainer, making pit work faster and more convenient.  To accommodate the latest generation of ultra-low-profile LiPo batteries, the V2 holder features a completely revised height range, from adjusting the shims supporting battery heights from 17mm to 23mm.  This ensures compatibility with a wider range of modern battery packs while helping racers take advantage of lower centre-of-gravity setups.  One of the key improvements of the V2 design is the updated locating pin length.  With spring steel chassis becoming increasingly popular in electric touring car racing, the original locating pins often required trimming before installation.  To eliminate this extra step, all V2 locating pins are now manufactured with a 1mm length, making them directly compatible with ultra-thin spring steel chassis and providing a true bolt-on solution for users.   Combining quick battery changes, expanded battery compatibility and improved chassis integration, the V2 Quick Release Battery Holder offers a practical upgrade for modern touring car racers.

Takashima D-13 Mi10 High-Strength 3D Printed Bumper

Takashima D-13 Mi10 1.1mm Spring Steel Chassis

Following the recent release of the Schumacher Mi10, Takashima D-13 has added its popular 1.1mm Spring Steel Chassis for the British manufacturer’s latest touring car.  Like the rest of the 1.1mm spring steel chassis lineup, the newly developed version for the Schumacher Mi10 is designed to provide increased chassis flex, making it especially suitable for low to medium traction conditions as well as stock-class racing.  To ensure proper fitment and performance, 120-degree countersunk screws are required for installation.
