Takashima D-13 Black Luxury Edition Spring Steel Chassis

Following the successful release of their spring steel touring car chassis, Takashima D-13 now introduces the Black Luxury Edition spring steel chassis which is finished with advanced DLC coating technology.  Every difficulty became motivation for further development and improvement and due to the physical characteristics of spring steel, it is highly sensitive to humidity and salt in the air, making it extremely prone to surface rust.  While this does not affect its performance, it can impact the overall visual experience for drivers.  After extensive testing and multiple coating trials, Takashima D-13 ultimately selected DLC technology as the solution.  This not only effectively prevents rust, but also transforms the chassis from its original silver finish into a deep black tone, while preserving the natural metallic grain texture.  The result is a perfect fusion of industrial precision and mechanical artistry — the machining lines flow across the entire surface, giving the product a strong, refined presence.  Paired with their upcoming 120° carbon steel 12.9 grade black colour TORX screws, it creates a striking and cohesive visual statement on the track.

Takashima D-13 Flat nose CA Tyre Sidewall Nozzle

Takashima D-13 has released these Flat nose C.A. Nozzles for tyre sidewall use.  In high-grip track conditions, many drivers apply tire glue to the sidewalls to reduce friction between the tire and the surface, helping to prevent traction roll.  However, achieving a consistent and even glue application on the tire sidewall has always been a challenge.  After a period of testing and refinement, Takashima D-13 has introduced a new flat-tip glue applicator designed specifically for this purpose.  The flattened outlet allows better control over glue flow width, enabling more precise application to the tire sidewall.  By controlling the coverage area more accurately, drivers can achieve a highly consistent contact patch between the tire sidewall and the track surface, resulting in more balanced side grip and improved stability in high-traction conditions.

Takashima D-13 SkyRC Tyre Warmer Portable Case

Building on its previously successful 3D printed accessories, Takashima D-13 has released a new portable case designed for the latest SkyRC tyre warmer.  The case allows drivers to mount an external battery directly inside the tire warmer housing, making it possible to carry the tire warmer and chassis together with one hand when moving from the pit table to the track, while maintaining tire temperature.  A distinctive diamond-pattern surface with 90-degree indexed flat faces allows the chassis to be placed either lengthwise or sideways, helping with efficient pit table organisation.  The package also includes a DC power cable for connecting an external power supply to the tire warmer, addressing an item not supplied with the original SkyRC unit.

Takashima D-13 V2 Alu Electronic Caster Gauge

Based on the success of the first generation, Takashima D-13 has released the V2 Aluminium Electronic Caster Gauge.  Compared with V1, updates to the V2 version include it being made from aluminium alloy for improved appearance, lighter weight, better durability, and improved flatness.  It also gets a unique hub-insert design.  The gauge is installed directly into the hub, ensuring the measuring surface is perfectly aligned with the hub, greatly improving measurement accuracy.  Combined with carbon fibre plates of different slot widths, it allows zero-play fit for different popular chassis on the market.  The electronic caster gauge can be fixed with double-sided tape or simply placed directly, providing much greater flexibility during measurement.

Takashima D-13 Icon2 F1 Spring Steel Chassis

With their Spring Steel Touring Car Chassis in high demand, Takashima D-13 has released a 1.2mm Spring Steel Chassis for Schumacher Icon2 1:10 Formula car.  Benefiting from success of their touring car program, Takashima D-13 has applied the same development philosophy to 1:10 F1 category.  The spring steel construction provides more progressive flex characteristics over traditional aluminium, acting as a secondary suspension to soak up track imperfections.  This yields superior mechanical rear grip and a more forgiving driving feel, particularly on low-traction surfaces.  Taking advantage of the material’s high density, the chassis achieves a thinner profile while maintaining essential weight.  By concentrating the mass at the lowest possible point, it significantly lowers the CG, enhancing high-speed cornering stability and effectively minimising traction rolls.

Takashima D-13 1.1mm Spring Steel Chassis

Following the successful release of their 1.2mm spring steel touring car chassis, Takashima D-13 continues to push development forward with the introduction of a new 1.1mm spring steel chassis.  By utilising 120-degree ultra-low profile M3 countersunk screws, the new 1.1mm chassis uses exactly the same hardware as the 1.2mm version.  This smart design choice allows drivers to upgrade without the need to purchase additional screws, keeping costs to a minimum.  The main features of the 1.1mm spring steel chassis include Reduced Weight.  With the same chassis layout, a 0.1mm reduction in thickness results in a weight saving of approximately 10–15 grams, depending on the platform.  Another benefit is increased chassis flex with extensive laboratory testing combined with real-world track testing has showing that the 1.1mm chassis offers increased flex, delivering improved chassis flow and overall handling, especially on lower grip conditions.  Another feature is Predictable flex behaviour.  Both the 1.1mm and 1.2mm chassis share identical outer dimensions and the same cut-out design for each platform.  This ensures a similar flex trend between the two options, allowing drivers to easily predict handling changes when switching thicknesses.  With the chassis thickness reduced by a further 0.1mm, the overall centre of gravity is lowered again, contributing to improved on-track performance.  These make the 1.1mm spring steel chassis is an excellent choice for medium to low grip tracks and low-power Stock class racing.  With this latest development, Takashima D-13 continues to deliver some of the lowest centre of gravity chassis options available worldwide.
