DMS Partz B44.3 carbon fibre chassis set

New from DMS Partz and made for the Team Associated B44.3 4WD buggy is a carbon fibre chassis set with Avid balance weights. As used by several of the Team Associated team drivers and also used by Team Associated’s Neil Cragg to TQ this year’s oOple race in the 4WD class the chassis is designed to be stronger and more rigid than the kit supplied aluminium offering, which results in a sharper and more responsive feel to the car. The new chassis gives drivers the option of switching the steering servo to either the left or right position on the chassis with holes provided for both layouts. In keeping with the kit options, forward or rear motor options are available and both saddle or shortly LiPo layouts can be used.

T-Works B5 titanium shock standoffs

T-Works have titanium shock standoffs for Team Associated’s fifth generation 1/10th off-road vehicles available. Made from the same material as T-Works’ screws and turnbuckles the standoffs are of a multi-piece design that does away with the need to use the standard composite shock bushings. Included in the set, that is usable with the B5, T5 and SC5 kits, are the standoffs, four mounting screws as well as suitable self-locking nuts.

Team Associated RC8B3 FT +2 steering block arms

New from Team Associated are +2 degree graphite steering block arms for the RB8B3 and B3e buggy. These new arms increase the steering Ackermann of the vehicle, resulting in a smoother steering feel when compared to the standard steering block arm set. Made from quality woven-carbon fibre for strength, slight weight savings, and a factory look.

JConcepts B5M honeycomb aluminium chassis

Seen for the first time at last week’s IFMAR 1/10th Off-road World Championships JConcepts have now officially introduced the honeycomb lightweight aluminium chassis for the Team Associated B5M. Machined from hard anodised black aluminium and sporting milled hex shaped pockets the chassis also features aluminium islands in the electrics compartment which are left to allow an electrical footing area for mounting and wiring needs. The hex pockets in the centre of the chassis have been cleared for sensor wire or miscellaneous wire routing. All edges of the honeycomb pockets have been highlighted with chamfered edging all around, bringing out an luxurious look. The honeycomb chassis weighs in at 112 grams, some 23 grams less than a stock counterpart all while still remaining structurally sound, making it deal for stock and modified racers alike.

Following a dedicated variant for the B5 series of vehicles JConcepts now also have a spring steel CVA set for Team Associated’s T5M and SC5M trucks available. The design is based around the HD 5mm axle diameter which is able to stand up to a rigorous demands of today’s racing. The bones have been machined of spring steel material for the ultimate in durability and performance and inserted with hardened steel pins on the drive ends. The aluminium pin barrels have a high tolerance fit and finish for smooth and quiet performance while the advanced plating on the bones, axles and barrels which also provide corrosion resistance.

Avid B5-series titanium steering system screws

New from Avid and made for Team Associated’s 5th generation 1/10th off-road vehicles are the titanium steering system screws. The fasteners are shouldered to remove the slop out of the steering rack while also dropping 3g of weight. Also the kit screws measure in at 2.91mm where Avid’s titanium shouldered screws come in at 2.99mm for a much tighter bearing fit. The screws are machined from billet 6Al-4V titanium, each package includes two 3-12mm and two 3-22mm fasteners and they fit the B5, B5M, T5M, and SC5M.

JConcepts have introduced a new option part for the Team Associated B5 series of vehicles in the form of the spring steel CVA set with hex adaptors. The set is built for performance, durability and looks with the design being based around the HD 5mm axle diameter which is able to stand up to a rigorous demands of today’s racing. The bones have been machined of spring steel material for the ultimate in durability and performance and inserted with hardened steel pins on the drive ends. The aluminium pin barrels have a high tolerance fit and finish for smooth and quiet performance. The CVA kit fits the B5, B5M and B5M Factory Lite and it also includes light-weight, black anodised aluminium 12mm clamping style hex adaptors for a slide on fit to the HD axle. The advanced plating on the bones, axles and barrels also provide corrosion resistance and for more recognition, the JConcepts.net logo is etched onto each bone for identification and authenticity.

Exotek AE 5th generation option parts

Exotek have new option parts for the Team Associated 5th generation 1/10th off-road buggies and trucks available in the form of titanium front axles for the SC5M as well as aluminium shock parts for the 12mm big bore shocks. Starting with the wheel axles, the “Flite titanium front axles for Team Associated’s latest short course truck are precision machined, almost as strong as steel and they weigh in at only 5 grams per pair, compared to the 9.7 grams of the standard steel shafts. The axles reduce rotational mass as well as unsprung weight and they also add some visual impact when the wheels are off.
