Exotek T5 & DEX210 Flite titanium front axles

Exotek T5 & DEX210 Flite titanium front axles

Exotek have new Flite-series titanium front axles for the Team Associated T5 and the Team Durango DEX210 available. Starting with the Team Associated part, the precision machined front axles weigh in at only 5g a pair while stock axles are 11g meaning a significant reduction of rotational mass as well as unsprung weight. The axles are nearly as strong as steel and they come in a polished finish for added looks. Also new are titanium wheel axles for the Team Durango DEX210 buggy. Offering a 12mm hex and an offset design the shafts allow to use standard B5 front wheels. Like the T5 Flite axles they significantly reduce unsprung weight and rotational mass compared to steel axles and they come machined to an eye-catching finish.

MIP T5M Pucks Bi-Metal R-CVD drive system

MIP T5M Pucks Bi-Metal R-CVD drive system

MIP introduce the Pucks 17.5 Bi-Metal R-CVD drive system for the Team Associated T5M stadium truck. The design is unlike standard C-CVDs as it features a keyed joint made out of hardened alloy steel that connects to 7075 hard anodised aluminium. This feature allows to lighten up the drivetrain without sacrificing the durability that steel components offer. Also with the R-CVD design it couples the original wheel axle components with the MIP Bi-Metal bone to keep costs low and give the essentials to transfer over to MIP’s Pucks system. Included are also 7075 hard anodised aluminium outdrives and the necessary components to build an aluminium puck ball differential differential.

Pro-Line Pro-Spec buggy shocks

Pro-Line Pro-Spec buggy shocks

Pro-Line have introduced 1/10th buggy versions of their Pro-Spec high-performance shock absorbers. Previously only available for 1/10th short course trucks the shock Pro-Spec dampers now also come for today’s most popular buggies. They are of a 12mm Big Bore design with a single low friction X-ring seal while the pistons and shaft guides are made from smooth white Delrin for low stiction. The threaded aluminium bodies house 3.5mm thick shock shafts with hard chrome coating, just like full scale racing shocks. The shocks also feature an easy access bleeder cap screw for consistent shock builds every time and each pair includes three different piston options of 1.4, 1.6 and 1.8 sizes as well as a blank piston for drilling to a custom size. Custom shock tightening tools and optional shock limiters are also included. The dampers accept most 12mm big bore buggy springs and included are also several upper and lower shock pivot balls as well as optional +2, +4 and +6mm spring perches to fit a wider range of vehicles right out of the box. Coming as separate front and rear sets the shocks are known to fit the Team Associated B5, B5M and B44.3, the Kyosho RB6 and ZX-6, the TLR 22 2.0 and 22-4 as well as the Yokomo B-Max2 and B-Max4.

Following a first teaser Team Associated have released the full details in their all-new RC8B3 1/8th scale nitro off-road buggy. Completely designed from the ground up the buggy builds on a hard-anodised 7075-T6 aluminium chassis designed for optimum weight distribution, ground clearance, and better overall handling. As a result, the buggy is meant to change directions faster, and to be more compliant and stable in rough terrain. JConcepts B5 aluminium wing shim

JConcepts B5 aluminium wing shim

New from JConcepts come wing shims for the Team Associated B5 and B5M. The buggy offers the option of adjusting the wing angle by changing the direction of the shim or the height by running the shim below or above the wing. JConcepts is now offering the wing shim as a machined aluminium component, available anodized in blue or black colours. The edges are finished with a small highlight chamfer where possible to provide that all important glamorous look. The shim is light-weight and has built in screw bosses on each side which allows the driver to completely secure the shim to the wing with 3mm screws (not included) front and back. The shim has a built in rake of 3 degrees in one direction and shaped to fit around the stock plastic wing mounts or part of the JConcepts screw-down aluminium wing mount system. Utilizing the shim in one direction gives the wing zero degrees or in the opposite direction gives 6 degrees of angle. Placing the shim on top will angle the wing at 3 degrees. Simply drop the new shim onto the wing mounts for a more rigid assembly and secure if preferred with 3mm screws.

X Factory Infinity B5M side stiffeners

X Factory Infinity B5M side stiffeners

Coming from X Factory’s Infinity option parts line and made for the Infinity Team Associated B5M chassis is a set of chassis side stiffeners. X Factory’s Infinity B5M chassis has been very successful over the past six months, most notably taking all four rounds of qualifying in Stock Buggy at the Cactus Classic. With all screws in the side rails and side decks tightened securely the CF chassis is quite stiff, but some drivers desire an even stiffer platform on certain high-bite tracks. These side stiffener plastic parts answer the calls. Super-easy to install, the driver just removes the bolts holding the side decks on, drops the new stiffener in, and re-tighten the side deck bolts. Therefore, chassis stiffness can be adjusted in just a minute.
