JConcepts B6.2 steel front bulkhead

New for the Associated B6.2 comes this steel front bulkhead from JConcepts. A weighty item that is routinely punished is the front-bulkhead on the B6 line of vehicles. While brass material produces a lot of weight it tends to be a little soft as racers bump and grind pipes, jumps and obstacles during a normal outing. With encouragement from Paul Wynn, JConcepts has designed the all-steel front bulkhead to help maintain weight but also significantly improve durability. The steel design helps outlast the brass counterparts and packs the same reversible design for either 25 or 30 degrees of kick-up. The bulkhead has a marked weight (28 grams) and includes the 4 standard countersunk screw pockets and 3mm setscrew offering to pin the hinge pins into place.

Team Associated RC8T3.2e EP truggy team kit

Having only just announced the RC8T3.2, Team Associated followed up quickly with the release of the new RC8T3.2e, a car that shares many of its new features with its nitro counterpart. Again, the new longer suspension arms utilise the narrow arm mounts from the RC8B3.2 for increased traction and stability. Bottom-loaded suspension arm inserts provide adjustable flex and increase durability, while keeping the arms free of debris and easy to clean. A new rear shock tower has been developed to work with the new suspension arm geometry. A 3-piece centre bulkhead allows for easy access to the centre differential and makes adjustments even faster. Updated shock caps allow the RC8T3.2e to be run with the included new stiff bladders, optional standard bladders, or as emulsion with no bladders, all with the same cap. The side guards have also been improved by using countersunk screws that thread into the chassis from the top of the truck, which greatly improves alignment to the chassis.

Team Associated RC8T3.2 truggy team kit

Following a successful release of the long-awaited RC8B3.2, Team Associated have been keeping themselves busy and the result is the RC8T3.2. Using principles learned from the development of the RC8B3.2, the rear suspension arms have been lengthened to use the narrow pivot design for increased traction and stability. Bottom-loaded suspension arm inserts provide adjustable flex and increase durability while keeping the arms debris-free and easy to clean. A 4-piece centre bulkhead allows for easier access to the centre differential to make adjustments even faster, while a new rear shock tower has been developed to work with the new suspension arm geometry. The all-new radio tray design has several new features: an enclosed battery box, a larger receiver box, integrated switch and transponder mounting, and adjustable flex configurations. Updated shock caps allow the RC8T3.2 to be run with the included new stiff bladders, standard bladders, or as emulsion with no bladders, all with the same cap.

Avid RC8B3.2 carbon option parts

New from Avid, come a range of carbon parts for the Associated RC8B3.2 1/8th buggy. First up are the carbon arm inserts which offer a great tuning feature by reducing the flex and twist in the arm. These inserts are different than the others by starting with a 2mm carbon plate so the screws have full material to seat into and then pocketing out the rest of the carbon so the insert still remains light weight while retaining stiffness. Next up are some front and rear shock towers made from 5mm glossy finish carbon fibre, with 2.5d cutouts for a nice look and a light chamfer on the front side to help avoid splitting or chipping on hard wrecks. Finally there is carbon fibre steering block arms (+2°) that increases Ackermann. The +2° increased Ackermann allows the inside wheel to achieve more steering angle than the kit blocks which reduces scrub and allows the vehicle to rotate better in the middle of the corner. This rotation does come at the price of less steering at the exit of the corner.
