RDRP T6.1 & SC6.1 heavy-duty carbon fibre shock towers

Revolution Design Racing Products have introduced new heavy-duty carbon fibre front and rear shock towers for the Team Associated T6.1 Stadium and SC6.1 Short Course Truck. They match the standard kit geometry but are of a reinforced heavy duty design for improved durability and stability, greatly reducing breaking issues and increasing suspension efficiency. Different from the standard parts the RDRP HD shock towers are machined from extra thick 6mm carbon fibre, compared to the standard 4mm part, which further reduces flexing and tweaking under load, making the tower especially useful when running in high-traction or very bumpy track conditions as they improves overall traction. As they match the stock dimensions the towers are a direct replacement with no setup changes needed when swapping parts over.

NathoBuilds B74 O-ring battery strap

NathoBuilds have introduced their new O-ring battery strap for the Team Associated B74 buggy. The battery strap offers a secure adjustment of the shorty LiPo pack and unlike the kit carbon strap with two nuts, these battery straps stay secure to the battery pack and make it quicker for the driver to change the pack over. The owner also can change whether he would like the battery pack back or forward by just swapping the plastic strap mounts over. The O-ring holds the pack secure enough to keep it in place, but also flexible enough to allow for the chassis to flex underneath. The O-ring straps are centrally located to the battery strap, so the O-ring is securely located in whatever battery position, ensuring accessibility to the battery and balancer tubes.

T-Works B74 carbon fibre shock towers

Made for Team Associated’s popular B74 1/10th scale 4WD buggy are new carbon fibre front and rear shock towers from T-Works. They are understood to match the standard shock and camber link geometry, however their updated design makes for a slightly sleeker look with additional machining on the outer edges and the upper bridge sections. Both shock stays are available separately and they are machined from high-quality carbon fibre material.

JConcepts B74 aluminium rear hub carrier set

Coming from JConcepts and made for Team Associated’s popular B74 buggy is an aluminium rear hub carrier set. The uprights are precision machined to accept the stock Team Associated hub inserts and also the aluminium camber link mount. One of the highest impact items on the rear of the B74 are the hub carriers and the aluminium material helps maintain correct geometry while showing off some anodised luster. The set contains the hub carriers and two .1 and two .25mm axle shims to tighten the lash between drive axle and bearing once assembled.

Bezerk B74 LCG front & rear shock towers

Bezerk from Australia have introduced two new LCG carbon fibre shock towers for the Team Associated B74 buggy. They allow to lower the car’s centre of gravity by lowering the shock towers and bodies and still keep the correct travel range. Compared to a setup with kit towers, owners need to make the following changes: They need to use short eyelets, these are 2mm shorter, reduce the shaft length by 2mm – Australian electric off-road wizard Ray Munday, who thoroughly tested the new setup, went for 25-23mm at the front, and 30-28mm at the rear – and eliminate 2mm of external limiters, going from 3mm to 1mm at the front, and 2mm to zero millimetre at the rear. Ray also recommends using the longer front spring cup to avoid interference with the arm. Testing has found the towers increase steering response and keep the car feeling more stable in bumpy corners. The mid camberlink length has also been the choice of local racers. The front tower is available machined from 5mm and 4mm carbon fibre with the rear variant coming as 4mm part.

Team Associated RC8B3.2 Team Kit 1/8th buggy

Following the introduction of the new RC8B3.2e Team Kit E-buggy, Team Associated also announced the soon release of their new RC8B3.2 Team Kit nitro buggy, the follow-up model to the IFMAR World Championship winning RC8B3.1. The engineers of Area 51 Design Works focused on key components that improved durability, accelerated maintenance, and expanded upon its race-winning heritage within the RC8B3 platform. An all-new suspension arm design improves performance in all conditions: bottom-loaded inserts adjust flex characteristics and longer overall length, with reduced rear arm mount width. A 4-piece centre bulkhead allows for easier access to the center differential, making adjustments even faster. The all-new radio tray design features an enclosed battery box, a larger receiver box, integrated switch and transponder mounting, and adjustable flex configurations. Updated shock caps allow the RCB3.2 to be run with the included new stiff bladders, standard bladders, or as emulsion with no bladders – all with the same cap. The kit is set for a release in May.
