Rebellion-RC mid motor conversion kits – Coming soon

Rebellion-RC have released more teaser images of their forthcoming mid motor conversion kits for the Xray T4, Yokomo BD9 and BD8 as well as the Team Associated TC7.2. The kits centre around the patent pending sliding motor mount design that allows gear mesh adjustment through the chassis bottom, with the narrow design of the whole assembly ensuring the overall motor and battery width remains the same as in the standard cars, creating a very centralised weight distribution and less unwanted chassis roll compared to current mid motor conversions. In addition the design makes for an ultra low centre of gravity while allowing integrated flex settings. The sliding design also ensures a very wide gear mesh adjustment range, fitting up to 48T pinion and 114T main gears, making the conversion ideal for both stock and modified racing alike. Other features include a highest quality PA12 material 3-D-printed diff pulley that is precision CNC-milled for a perfect finish, a precision-machined stainless steel main shaft as well as the possibility to combine all three aluminium colour options of black, orange and natural with Rebellion-RC’s full range of carbon fibre twill colours. Not to be forgotten is a floating motor fan mount that attaches to the motor mount and that ensures lower motor temperatures while not disturbing natural chassis flex. Included with the kits, that are completely made in Austria, also come high-quality Bando Kevlar belts as well as all needed screws and bearings. The conversions are available for pre-order now and they will become available by August 1st.

Schelle Duo carbon 1/10th & 1/8th wing buttons

Schelle Racing Innovations have announced the release of their new Duo carbon fibre wing buttons for 1/10th Team Associated and 1/8th Team Associated and Mugen kits. The 1/10th scale variant is machined from 2.5mm carbon and features flush countersunk mounting positions for the wing screws. It ensures a tighter and more secure wing mounting while also acting as a jig to pre-drip wings. The button fits B6.1, B74, B6 series, B64 or B64D and basically all recent Associated 10th scales. As for the larger brother, the Duo wing button for the Team Associated RC8B3.1 and Mugen MBX8 vehicles, the part is machined from 2.5mm carbon fibre for cool looks, a light weight and exceptional stability.

Ramp introduce new XB4/2, B6.1 & B74 carbon optionals

Austrian brand Ramp have announced the release of new option parts for the Xray XB4 and XB2, as well as the Team Associated B6.1 and B74 buggies. First up is a carbon fibre shorty LiPo mount for the XB4 buggy. The design allows to use it with both 18.5mm tall LCG and standard height 25mm packs while adjustable battery stops do away with unsightly foam blocks to secure the battery in its current position. The set contains a carbon fibre strap, two battery posts, screws and clips. Also new are new design carbon wing protectors for the Xray XB2 and XB4 as well as the Team Associated B6.1 and B74 buggies. The protectors offer a large contact surface for less stress on the wing during upside down action, while four different mounting screw positions allows to adjust stiffness and overall downforce.

Leadfinger Racing B74 A2 Tactic body shell

Leadfinger Racing now offers a new look for the Team Associated B74 1/10 scale 4WD buggy with the A2 Tactic body shell. The lid not only adds a sleek new look to the ride, but is designed specifically by LFR while keeping the traditional racer in mind. First off, the windshield has been laid down for less rake and the cab pushed back to give the buggy more low profile styling. The combo gives the B74 a super slick and fast look that maintains a lower centre of gravity through out the entire car. Like the A2 Tactic designs before it, the top of the cab has an added roof vent. To help keep everything planted, the rear of the cab has the traditional LFR swoop that disburses air flow to the wing. Added downforce ailerons on the top rear of the side pods also help give the car a balanced feel during high speed straights, cornering and over all jump handling. The body comes in clear with window masks and stickers provided as well as two clear Tactic wings included.
