Schelle B6.1 Nova lockout set

Schelle Racing Innovations have introduced their new Nova buggy lockout set for the Team Associated B6.1 buggy. The slipper eliminator replaces the standard slipper assembly for a direct drive system with screw-on main gears in order to reduce rotation mass for improved acceleration. The B6.1 version is a new V2 design with its screw-on spur gears and it is easier to assemble, and works with both the B6.1 kit topshaft or the short direct drive topshaft. The lockout set sheds weight down to a bare minimum 2.3g and to weighs in at 4.6g total including the spur gear and the set includes a 69 tooth and a 72 tooth Nova Spur gear.

Schelle B6.1 front & rear carbon fibre shock towers

Coming from Schelle Racing Innovations and made for the Team Associated B6.1 series of buggies are a 5mm front gullwing arm shock tower and a rear low centre of gravity stay. The 5mm front tower is of a heavy duty design, however it matched the kit geometry and it is usable with the plastic tower guard that covers the optional wing mount locations. Also available is a thinner 4mm variant to match the flex characteristics of the standard kit tower. Last but not least comes the B6.1D low centre of gravity rear shock tower. It lowers the shocks for a low CG and more predictable rear suspension as this tower sits 2mm lower to the ground, and also gives racers the fine adjustment with tight hole spacing. The 4mm tower is a direct bolt-on to the B6.1D and it was designed for the use with 31mm shock body and short rod ends.

Schelle B64 short wheelbase arms & B6.1 Ti screws

Schelle have introduced new optional parts for the Team Associated B64 and B6.1 in the form of short B64 rear arms and a titanium upper screw kit for the B6.1. Starting with the rear arms, these are already part of Schelle short wheelbase kit for the B64 with the modified wishbones offering a 2mm shorter wheelbase which is a popular mod for racing on lower traction surfaces as the reduced wheelbase will generate greater rear traction. The arms are available as standard or hard composite items. Coming soon is also a 55-piece Grade 5 titanium screw kit for the Team Associated B6.1 and B6.1D. Saving 15g in the upper regions of the buggy, the set will not only reduce overall weight but also lower the overall centre of gravity which can be beneficial especially in high-bite racing conditions. The set includes 12mm wing mount hardware with optional 20mm screws being available separately.

MIP B6.1D Pucks 17.5 drive system

MIP’s popular Puck 17.5 drive system is now also available for Team Associated’s new B6.1D buggy. The lightweight, aluminium-based system is a replacement for the standard steel items and includes a 2-piece aluminium outdrive cup and aluminium outdrive hub assembly, two Bi-metal bones, and the replaceable plastic orange wear Pucks™ that take the place of the inferior steel pins. This combination greatly increases the longevity of the drivetrain and most importantly decreases the drivetrain’s overall rotating mass by about 50 percent. The decrease in weight directly results in quicker acceleration, deceleration, and lower motor temps, making it ideal for 17.5T stock racing classes.
