Tekno NB48 Option Parts

Newly crowned European 1:8 eBuggy Champion manufacturer Tekno has released a number of new option parts for its NB48 1:8 Buggy platform including a CNC, hardened, Vented rake Disc, Centre Rear & Front Dog Bones, and a Team Spec Differential Gear Set. The new Vented Brake Discs delivers improved braking consistency, reduced rotating mass, and factory-quality performance. Manufactured from hardened steel and precision ground for a perfectly flat braking surface, these discs provide a smooth, consistent feel right out of the package. Featuring 24 cross-drilled vent holes, the discs help improve cooling while reducing weight. Rotating mass is reduced by 3.5 grams per pair, quickening drivetrain response, and possibly resulting in a slight fuel mileage improvement during longer mains.

Figueiredo claims first European title in Estonia

João Figueiredo has claimed his first European Championship title, the personable Portuguese driver also giving his Tekno team its first EFRA title with victory at the eBuggy Euros in Estonia. Attracting 118 drivers to the RC Rakvere Racetrack, four rounds of qualifying would see Figueiredo take his Hobbywing powered EB48 2.2 to the overall TQ after topping Q2 & 4. With the second fastest times in Q3 & 4, Mugen Seiki’s Berkan Kilic secured the second spot on the grid ahead of Sparko’s Noha Ben Mohamed who opened qualifying with TQ run but struggled to repeat that form over the remaining three rounds. Travelling to the 10th running of the 1:8 Electric Buggy Euros chasing a third consecutive title, Team Associated’s Davide Ongaro qualified fourth ahead of Spain’s David Todd who took his Mugen Seiki to a TQ run in the third qualifier. As the reigning eBuggy World Champion, Marcus Kaerup struggled with the mixed conditions and would just scrap into the A-Main with P13. In the triple finals, A1 saw Figueiredo lead home Kilic as former double Champion David Ronnefalk came through from 9th to 3rd with his Xray. In A2, with Kilic in tow Figueiredo had a bobble at the 2 & a half minute mark that handed the lead to the Turkish racer. Holding that lead for 3-minutes it was Kilic’s turn to have a bobble handing the lead back to the pole sitter but on lap 12 Figueiredo would jump badly and on landing catch a track post that would break his buggy allowing Kilic to cruise to the win ahead of Ongaro and newly crowned European Nitro Buggy Champion Juan Carlos Canas who qualified his Sworkz in P11. In A3 an early mistake from Figueiredo handed Kilic the lead briefly, but touching in the air shortly after, the Tekno driver was back in front from where he took control of the race to win and claim his first European title. With Kilic in second, Ongaro completed the podium ahead of Ronnefalk and Kaerup.

Tekno RC EB410 Revised Chassis & Front Bulkhead

Tekno RC has introduced a number of new items including a revised chassis for their EB410 and ET410 1:8 electric platforms. Manufactured from high-quality 7075 aluminium and fully machined for precision and consistency, the updated chassis features a durable hard anodized finish and a 3mm thickness designed to deliver an ideal balance of strength, durability, and handling characteristics. Strategic lightening cutouts have been incorporated to reduce weight while maintaining structural integrity in critical areas. The revised TKR6501C chassis is fully compatible with all EB410, ET410, EB410.2, and ET410.2 platforms, providing racers with an easy upgrade path to the newest chassis design without requiring a complete vehicle update. Also new from the US manufacturer is a revised Front Bulkhead for the EB/ET410 line of vehicles. The updated TKR6519C design features additional material in key stress areas to improve strength and impact resistance. Screw engagement depth has also been increased in multiple locations, improving hardware retention and long-term durability. Also new are 5mm Hinge Pin Inserts for all Tekno RC adjustable suspension blocks. The new inserts allow racers to run Tekno’s 5mm hinge pins without the need for sleeves, simplifying assembly while increasing durability in high-load applications.

Tekno RC 68mm Shock Springs

US Buggy manufacturer Tekno RC has introduced a new line of high-performance shock springs. Utilising 1.4mm wire and a length of 68mm, the springs have been designed to unlock the full potential of their latest lowered shock towers and shorter shocks. Developed through extensive testing, the new springs deliver increased support, quicker suspension response, and a more planted, confidence-inspiring feel around the track. Whether racing on high-grip surfaces or navigating tighter technical sections, the higher frequency of the springs will keeps the buggy more connected to the track. Offered in nine coil counts, the new springs offer stiffer rates than our current line of springs. Each spring is colour-coded for fast, easy identification and they can be used on the front and rear.

Jones wins high attrition rate ABC Malaysia Truggy Main

Australian Tekno driver Liam Jones has won a high attrition rate Nitro Truggy A-Main at Round 2 of the Asian Buggy Championships in Malaysia. The championship’s first visit to the country and the impressive LAP Paradise RC Raceway, which located just an hour across the border from Singapore, it was expected that the half hour final would be just a formality for Top Qualifier Caleb Noble. The Sworkz driver dominated the opening round of the Team Cayote/VP-Pro backed championship last month in New Zealand, and no one would have bet against the Aussie going back to back here in Johor Bahru. Starting on pole ahead of the Sparko of Ken NG, Noble quickly established a lead but as the race approached half way distance the 19-year-old suffered a diff failure, his race was done. This promoted NG to the lead with Jones, who qualified P4, running in second. However he too would hit mechanical problems, losing rear drive after just a few laps out in front – something he said may have been the result of his truggy taking a heavy hit to the rear early on in the final. With Noble down in pit lane cheering on his compatriot, along with Jones’ elated father, the Melbourne driver would stay out front to take the win ahead by 2/3 of a lap over fellow Aussie Jayden Edmunds. Chinese Kyosho driver Francis Guan completed the podium while with only 2WD NG managed to finish down in P6.

Tekno RC EB/NB48 Wider Rear Pivot Configuration

Tekno RC has announced this new wider rear pivot configuration for their EB/NB48 2.x 1:8 Buggy platform. The new parts are engineered to increase rear stability, improve consistency, and inspire more confidence while circling the track. New slightly shorter rear suspension arms have been designed to go along with the wider C and D blocks. This allows you to maintain the same overall track width, while widening the rear suspension pivot for improved handling characteristics. Widening the suspension pivot generates more support at the rear of the buggy and increases precision when quickly changing directions or modulating the throttle. The buggy will feel more planted and predictable everywhere around the track, but especially through high-speed sweeper sections. In addition, drivers have reported more drive through bumpy sections and out of corners. The result is a faster buggy that is easier to drive lap after lap. Seth VanDalen was using all of the new rear pivot parts to win the 2026 Dirt Nitro Challenge Pro Nitro Buggy title.

DNC double for Tekno’s Van Dalen

Tekno’s Seth VanDalen completed the classic double at the Dirt Nitro Challenge over the weekend winning both Nitro Buggy and Nitro Truggy as the Joey Christensen signature event. The 27th edition of US race, it was the second year in a row the now California based event has been a happy hunting group for the US manufacturer, Ryan Maifield (Nitro Buggy) and VanDalen (Nitro Truggy) last year’s winners. With a 755 entries over all classes this year, in qualifying it was the Xray of Dakotah Phend who secured the Nitro Buggy TQ after three rounds of qualifying ahead of Sworkz’s Juan Carlos Canas and Team Associated’s Spencer Rivkin with VanDalen securing P4. In Truggy it was Maifield who took the TQ from team-mates VanDalen and Spencer Heckert. In Saturday’s Truggy final, Maifield led the way until he crashed and took a wheel off his Tekno just before the 2/3rd mark of the 45-minute encounter allowing VanDalen to take over the lead and successfully defend his title. The Sworkz of Silver State Indoor Champion Mason Fuller and Kyosho’s Ryan Lutz completed the podium. In the main event, Nitro Buggy final bringing racing at The Dirt at Peris track to a conclusion, it was Phend who led away from pole for more than half the race until a mistake. Winning the B Final to book 15th spot on the A-Main grid, Maifield would work his way into contention running second within 5-seconds of Phend, but at the 28-minute mark he flamed out and his race was done. After Phend’s error it was VanDalen who was out front where he wold stay to complete the DNC double. In eBuggy it was Sworkz’s Camden Lime would took the TQ and win, winning the 10-minute final from Canas and Phend.

Tekno RC Polished Shock Caps

US offroad kit manufacturer Tekno RC has released a new Polished Shock Cap for its 1:8 shocks. Building on their proven shock cap design, this polished shock cap set delivers the same versatility and strength but now with a race-inspired polished finish. CNC machined from 7075 aluminium, these shock caps support standard, vented, and emulsion shock configurations in one solution. The polished surface is inspired by team driver Jimmy Fishback, who began polishing his own shock caps in pursuit of better looks and easier maintenance. The polished surface helps reduce oil and dirt buildup, making cleanup faster and easier after long runs. It also does a better job of hiding small scratches and wear, keeping the shocks looking cleaner and newer for longer. Left, and, right specific caps position the cap screw toward the inside of the vehicle, while the bleeder hole faces the rear, helping keep dirt and dust away during use.
