Tekno RC EB/NB48 Wider Rear Pivot Configuration

Tekno RC has announced this new wider rear pivot configuration for their EB/NB48 2.x 1:8 Buggy platform.  The new parts are engineered to increase rear stability, improve consistency, and inspire more confidence while circling the track.  New slightly shorter rear suspension arms have been designed to go along with the wider C and D blocks.  This allows you to maintain the same overall track width, while widening the rear suspension pivot for improved handling characteristics.  Widening the suspension pivot generates more support at the rear of the buggy and increases precision when quickly changing directions or modulating the throttle.  The buggy will feel more planted and predictable everywhere around the track, but especially through high-speed sweeper sections.  In addition, drivers have reported more drive through bumpy sections and out of corners.  The result is a faster buggy that is easier to drive lap after lap.  Seth VanDalen was using all of the new rear pivot parts to win the 2026 Dirt Nitro Challenge Pro Nitro Buggy title.

Tekno RC Polished Shock Caps

US offroad kit manufacturer Tekno RC has released a new Polished Shock Cap for its 1:8 shocks.  Building on their proven shock cap design, this polished shock cap set delivers the same versatility and strength but now with a race-inspired polished finish.  CNC machined from 7075 aluminium, these shock caps support standard, vented, and emulsion shock configurations in one solution.  The polished surface is inspired by team driver Jimmy Fishback, who began polishing his own shock caps in pursuit of better looks and easier maintenance.  The polished surface helps reduce oil and dirt buildup, making cleanup faster and easier after long runs.  It also does a better job of hiding small scratches and wear, keeping the shocks looking cleaner and newer for longer.  Left, and, right specific caps position the cap screw toward the inside of the vehicle, while the bleeder hole faces the rear, helping keep dirt and dust away during use.

Young Spanish teenager Daniel Pariente has been the new 2025 KMRCA Korean 1:8 GP Buggy National Champion, the Tekno driver taking the title over the weekend when he travelled to ‘TheTrack’ in Gimpo in South Korea.  With this year’s Nationals attracting almost 60 entries, racing on the indoor dirt track would see Pariente secure the TQ honours ahead of long time leading Korean offroad racer Dani Choi & his Kyosho and the country’s latest up & coming talent HyunKyu Jung, his Team Associated making it three different manufacturers in the mix. Winning his half-hour Semi final ahead of Jung, Pariente would lead away the 11 buggy grid from Jung while Choi’s winning time from the second Semi ahead of Alex Lim’s Tekno would see him line up third.  From the front it was the visitor who maintained his form to win by 19-seconds as the podium saw the Top 3 finish in the order they started, Jung having to recover from a first lap mistake that dropped him to 4th for a time.  Unfortunately for Lim he would retire from the final 48-minutes in.

Maifield does the buggy double at 2025 SikCross

Tekno RC’s Ryan Maifield did the buggy double at the 2025 SikCross over the weekend winning both Nitro Buggy and eBuggy at The Drake Raceway hosted race.   A track that was saved earlier this year thanks to the intervention of RC racing’s most famous couple, Adam & Ronda Drake, SikCross made its returned to the Southern California venue with 200 entries looking to enjoy the races unique start/race format.  With two 15-lap races determining the grid for the finals it was to be Kyosho drivers who came out on top – Ryan Lutz taking the eBuggy TQ with his young team-mate Phi-Long Nguyen the Top Qualifier in Nitro Buggy, Maifield ending up P2 in both categories.  In the triple 30-lap each finals, Lutz would have a tough time in eBuggy, Maifield winning A1 and A3 for the overall win with Nguyen winning A2 to claim second as the Team Associated of Tyler Fenster completed the podium ahead of Lutz.  In Nitro, Nguyen opened with a win ahead of Maifield but suffered a DNF in A2 as Maifield took the win and repeated again in A3.  Jimmy Fishback made it a Tekno 1-2 overall with Nguyen having to settle for third as Lutz again missed the podium with fourth.  Nguyen would get a win however taking the title in Nitro Truggy ahead of Fenster, Lutz and Adam Drake.

Tekno RC 1:8 Buggy/Truggy Droop Gauge

US offroad kit manufacturer Tekno RC has introduced this new Droop Gauge for 1:8 Buggy/Truggy use.  Precision-machined from aluminium, laser-etched, and anodised in their signature colour for durability and easy readability, the gauge’s hinged droop blocks are 40mm in height, made from a strong and lightweight composite, which saves space in your pit bag and also protects your chassis surface by preventing scratches. With traditional droop measuring methods relying on overall shock length and often produce misleading and inconsistent results, due to variables like hub height and shock mounting position affecting the reading, the Tekno RC Droop Gauge eliminates these issues by measuring what actually matters – the driveshaft position in relation to the chassis.  With a range from -8mm to +8mm, you can quickly and accurately dial in your setup for any track condition.  A universal gauge, it can be used with all 1:8 offroad race vehicles.

Noble crowned 2025 Australian National Champion

Caleb Noble is the new RCRA Australian 1:8 Nitro Buggy National Champion, the Tekno driver declared the winner based on his pole starting position after rain brought an early halt to the main final at the oil treated Batemans Bay track in the South East of the country.  In qualifying it was 18-year-old Noble who secured the TQ after topping 3 of the 5 qualifiers.  Behind him having taken the opening qualifier, 2023 Champion and recent Asian Buggy Championships Brisbane race winner Alex Bernadzik would end qualifying in P2.  The only other driver to post a TQ run, Mayako Youth Mentoring Program driver Jayden Edmunds completed the Top 3 ranking ahead of Ari Bakla.  With Noble winning the first of the Semi Finals in the fastest time, that would prove critical as reigning Asian Buggy Championships Champion Christian Wolhuter won the second of the Semi’s to secured second on the grid third.  A third place in that same Semi meant Bernadzik’s Team Associated would start the scheduled 1-hour from P5.  With the final getting underway, an early mistake from Noble allowed Wolhuter to go by and lead the field around briefly with Bernadzik in third.  With Noble making a pass back to the lead, the arrival of rain turned the oiled track surface into icy conditions.  With Noble and Bernadzik locked in battle for the lead, Bernadzik the leader at the time, the race was stopped after just 13-minutes.  After much deliberation, and marshal safety a concern, the race wouldn’t restart with the result declared on the starting grid order meaning Noble is the new Champion from Wolhuter with the Associated of Jarod Ment completing the 2025 podium.
