Coming from VRP and made for all Tekno RC vehicles are specific XV3 4-hole shock pistons. By working with Tekno team members, VRP have developed a lineup of pistons that suits the Tekno geometry the best. Available will be 4-hole 1.9, 2.0, 2.1 and 1.9/2.0 split pistons all of which use the popular XV3 piston technology.

Tekno have introduced a complete line of Low Frequency springs for the SCT410.3 and EB48SL vehicles. The new design improves traction by reducing chassis oscillation on rough track surfaces and large jump landings. Better stability of the vehicle is achieved, providing more forward grip, increased corner speed and quicker lap times. The spring length has been reduced by 13mm in front and 15mm in the rear to allow for lower ride height adjustments which in turn increases corner speed under high traction conditions, such as carpet or astro-turf, where lower ride heights are essential. With additional coils as well as a larger wire diameter, the new LF springs feature a natural silver finish with a colour indicator for easy spring identification. They directly replace existing springs and are intended to be used on the SCT410, SCT410.3 and the EB48SL vehicles. The set includes two springs and available are five front and five rear sets.
VP-Pro have introduced a new air filter foam specially designed for the Tekno RC nitro vehicles. Made from a high-tech foam the air filter will ensure maximised airflow while offering exceptional protection even against the smallest of dust particles. The 2-stage filter element is a direct fit on Tekno RC’s air filter.

Tekno RC have introduced narrow wheel hubs for the EB48SL and SCT410 vehicles. The hubs are intended to be used on the EB48SL to narrow the track width and improve handling characteristics. Overall grip is increased when using these hubs, especially on tight indoor tracks. Used on the SCT410 they allow to use standard 1/8th buggy wheels on Tekno’s 1/10th 4WD short course truck for a wider selection of wheels and tyres. The hubs utilise TKR5580 stub axles and convert the SCT410 to use 17mm wheels without changing the overall track width from standard SCT wheels.

Tekno RC have introduced their all-new Block nitro off-road engines. The BLOK 21aM was designed with optimal fuel mileage in mind for 1/8th buggies, while the 21aP is all about power and is well suited for any 1/8th application but especially the heavier truggies. Both engines are made in Japan and they feature the same long stroke piston and sleeve design, DLC coated crankshaft, three needle carburettor and efficient cooling head with the 21aM including 6mm and 6.5mm venturis while the 21aP comes with 6.5mm and 7.0mm carburettor inserts. Pre-release engines without manual and box are available now, and the properly packaged power plants including box, manual and stickers will become available around mid-March.

Tekno RC have announced the signing of Portugal’s Ricardo Monteiro to their factory team. Ricardo’s experience and talent will be a great asset to their expanding European team as well as Tekno RC racers in the EU region. His first race for his new sponsor will be the Oleiros Trophy race in February and he had the following to say:
When the opportunity came to work with Tekno, I knew I had to take it into consideration. The quality of the cars plus the people that I would work with made for an easier decision. I would like to thank Ilias Arkoudaris, Daniel Lewis and all the guys involved, I believe we will have an awesome partnership together. Following the introduction of the EB48.4 a few weeks back, Tekno now also revealed the revamped NB48 platform. The latest .4 kit features a new CNC-machined 7075 aluminium chassis with improved wear characteristics, a revised steering geometry and Ackermann plate, a bearing supported spindle and carrier design, a revised wide rear pivot suspension geometry as well as new universal driveshafts for a more efficient drivetrain. Other changes include CNC-machined 4×1.9mm flat/flat delrin pistons and rod guides, aluminium bleeder shock caps to allow building emulsion, vented and non-vented shocks as well as new low-frequency shock springs and a fighter yet inspired bodyshell.
