T-Works NB48 2.0 carbon fibre shock towers

T-Works have introduced their new carbon fibre shock towers for the Tekno RC NB48 2.0 buggy. Machined from high-quality 4mm carbon fibre the shock stays utilise the standard kit geometry but compared to the standard aluminium shock towers they are lighter and offer different flex characteristics which can improve handling on slippery surfaces. The shock stays are available separately or as a complete set including the front and rear tower.

T-Works roll out new EB48 2.0 optionals

Coming from T-Works and made for the Tekno RC EB48 2.0 1/8th scale E-buggy kit are several new optionals. First up is a 28-piece orange seals precision ball bearing set that includes ball races with outer rubber and inner metal shields for exceptional protection and low natural drivetrain drag. Also new is a titanium turnbuckle set machined from high-quality 64 grade titanium. The parts will lower the overall weight while ensuring good corrosion resistance. Also part of the portfolio is a lightweight 130-piece UFO head titanium screw set as well as a 138-piece kit of gold colour steel screws. Like all titanium parts the screw set will greatly lower the overall weight while adding visual impact with the plated gold colour screws mainly adding bling and corrosion resistance when running in wet weather.

Tekno NB48 2.0 aluminium throttle servo horn

Tekno RC have announced the release of a new aluminium throttle servo horn for the NB48 2.0 nitro buggy. The new heavy duty horn eliminates the possibility of the servo horn stripping, coming off, or the brake and throttle going out of adjustment and causing a runaway. The laser-etched servo horn is made from aluminium and inherently much less likely to strip or flex, but it also clamps and grips the servo output shaft tightly to help prevent it from falling off or losing adjustment. In addition, this new servo horn is designed with a slight angle between the brake and throttle lever, which provides a more consistent braking force through the servo’s rotation. The aluminium horn is a direct replacement for the stock composite horn, it uses the same 5x8x2.5mm bearings and brake linkage, it is made for the use on the 2.0 series of nitro vehicles and comes in 23T or 25T specification.

Tekno RC EB48 2.0 1/8th scale E-buggy kit

Tekno RC have announced the next vehicle from their “2.0” racing platform, the EB48 2.0 1/8th scale electric buggy kit. The vehicle makes use of many of the features found in its NB48 2.0 nitro sibling, such as ultra narrow pivots, long A-arm suspension geometry, super smooth high volume diffs, optimised chassis flex, and easy access diffs. Also new are a 4mm chassis plate with decoupled components as well as an updated motor mount to produce a slightly wider, weight forward layout that has made for a well balanced and durable buggy. Results from on-track testing have allowed Tekno RC’s Joe Bornhorst and Jared Tebo to finish on the top of the podium at almost every race they’ve attended. Racers can expect the same amazing rough track handling and corner speed they’ve come to expect from the NB48 2.0 thanks to the long arms, narrow bulkheads and optimized front end. And as the EB48 2.0 shares many of the same parts as the NB48 2.0, it reduces the number of spares to keep on hand making attending in multiple classes easy. The kits are expected to become available by mid-to-late February.

Lit R/C NB48 2.0 carbon fibre shock towers

Coming from Lit R/C Products are their new carbon fibre shock towers for the Tekno RC NB48 2.0 buggy. The towers are machined out of matte 3k twill carbon in 5mm thickness and they match the stock shock position geometry, however the front tower offers additional camber link positions and they are of a thicker and stronger outer profile to be more durable. The towers also have small chamfered edges to help prevent delamination. While adding a bit of visual impact the towers also are ten to 12 grams lighter than the stock towers for an overall lower centre of gravity.
