Tourex have released a first teaser image of their forthcoming TX-RC56 clutch for 1/5th scale on-road cars. New for the large scale scene but a common sight in 1/8th scale on-road racing the newly designed centrifugal-axial clutch does away with the common centrifugal clutches used in 1/5th on-road cars for decades. More information and images will become available in time for the official release which is scheduled for April.
Tourex have introduced their all-new Big Speed II 4-shoe clutch for large scale cars. Building on the success of the previous Big Speed 3-shoe offering the Big Speed II will deliver improved performance especially with today’s very powerful engines. The “II” shares many parts with the 3-shoe offering and it also uses the same adjustment tools, making the swap over to the 4-shoe offering a breeze. The highly adjustable clutch is available for a range of kits and classes from now on.

Building on the winning heritage of the Tourex Speed 2.5 and Truggy Extended 1/8 scale clutches the adjustable 3-shoe Big-Speed Performance clutches offer a 3-pin design with optimised springs and clutch shoes in order to create the best possible performance. Available as carbon and aluminium variant the Big-Speed Performance is available with three different spring for your choice of RPM ranges.
German Tourex distributor RMV Deutschland introduce an electronic on/off switch called Power Switch and also aluminium servo bushings. Starting with the switch, the MCU controlled offering does away with the problems associated with conventional mechanical switches as it is housed in an enclosed case and therefore offers very good dust protection. The switch is best used in nitro vehicles and offers a NiMH and LiPo mode with the latter including a low-voltage protection. Upon arming a multi-colour LED also indicates the capacity left in the receiver battery. The switch comes pre-wired with JR-compatible connectors and two kinds of bottom covers. Also new are special aluminium bushings to replace the rubber servo grommets on steering and throttle servos. The machined parts sport a diameter of 3.7mm and an upper countersunk washer part while being gun metal anodised. The bushings come as 8-piece set and make for a rock-solid servo installation.
Available soon are Tourex’ new tyre gluing bands for 1/10th off-road tyres. They are made from a flexible rubber material and are designed to press the tyre agains the rim while the glue dries in order to achieve perfect bonding between the two. Included in the set are four bands in red colour.
More new items from Tourex who have released this 2-piece engine mount for the MBX7 from Mugen. The set consists of lower mounting blocks which are screwed onto the chassis and the two upper parts which can be screwed to the motor housing and are not removed. Pins which sit on the upper blocks aid the fixing and alignment of the engine in the buggy meaning you can quickly and easily remove and re install the engine without the need to realign the motor. Supplied with all the required screws.
