Trion have introduced their new low profile carbon fibre shock towers for the Yokomo YZ-4SF buggy. Machined from high-quality 3mm carbon fibre the shock stays place the shock 3mm lower while also featuring an overall lower design which in combination results in improved stability and higher corner speed on high-bite surfaces. The front and rear tower also offer additional upper shock mount positions for a wider tuning window while the rear tower also allows to mount the rear wing in a high or low position. The shock towers are available from now on.
Coming from Trion are their new 5800mAh standard size and 4550mAh shorty LCG LiHV battery packs. Starting with the 5800mAh 7.6V standard size pack, the battery measures 138x47x19.5mm and it weighs in at 235g, making it ideal for modified and stock racing classes alike. The hardcase battery is equipped with 5mm through-type connectors, allowing to access the connector tubes from both sides and it is built using high-quality 120C cells for exceptional power supply even in power-hungry classes.
Trion have introduced their new TricoRoll V2 JMRCA 13.5T and 17.5T brushless stock motors that come standard with 14mm titanium rotors. The two electric brushless motors offer very high torque values, making them ideal for racing on high-grip carpet and dirt tracks as well as in non-boost touring classes. Highly machined aluminium cans ensure low operation temperatures while adding to the overall looks.
Coming from Trion is a new pit mat. It is made of thick 4mm high-quality material and measures 1215x610mm. Two full-colour Trion logos make for visual impact and the mat can be rolled or folded for easy storage or transportation.
Japanese brand Trion have introduced their new V2 series 540-size sensored electric brushless motor. The power plant is of a new design that revolves around a high-airflow can with huge cooling openings around the front section while machined openings in the stator area further increase the airflow in this area. This leads to a much cooler motor towards the end of a run and thus reduced fading and more stable performance. An updated stator further adds to the overall performance with increased torque and reduced heat build-up. The motor is rounded out by a new rotor and available from now on in a 5.0T touring and a 6.5T off-road variant with additional 4.5T to 8.5T variants coming later in July.
Trion have introduced their new 6000mAh LiHV standard-size battery pack. Made from high-quality 100C high-voltage Lithium-Polymer cells the battery is of standard 138x47x25.1mm dimensions and it weighs in at 274g for the 4mm connector variant and at 280g equipped with 5mm connectors. Although being a HV battery pack with a nominal voltage of 7.6V, allowing to use it with a charge end voltage of 8.7V, it is also good for the use with standard charge settings and 8.4V charge end voltage as it offers a flat discharge curve for more power towards the end of a run.
Trion have announced the addition of Germany’s Marc Fischer to their factory team. The newly signed Capricorn pilot will be using Trion’s range of brushless motors and speed controllers alongside Muchmore LiPo batteries, chargers and tyre heaters. Marc has the following to say about the deal:
I would like to take the opportunity and thank Trion and Mr. Kobayashi as well as Muchmore and Mr. Jang for the support and the trust in me. This is a real dream coming true and I am looking forward to a fruitful cooperation for the remainder of this season and beyond.
This is the third time we have written about this particular motor heatsink with cooling fan from Japanese brand Trion, so we’ll keep it brief. Essentially the only thing to announce is that it is now available in black adding to the already available silver, red, blue & purple. You can read our previous write up about it, here.
