According to our partners Neo Buggy, current ROAR National truggy champion Taylor James had a busy week prior to winning last weekends Nationals. Having only recieved his new Jammin truggy just prior to the event, he also made the switch from previous fuel suppliers O’Donnell to new sponsor Werks fuel. This didnt seem to effect him and he went on to win the race and National title with a brand new car and fuel supplier.

Joseph Quagraine joins Werks Racing

Neo Buggy are reporting that Finland’s Joseph Quagraine has signed with Werks Racing to run their “Race Blend” fuel during the 2007, 2008 racing season. Joseph with his recent excellent race results at the Euro’s joins HoBao Cup winner Ari Heinonen as the second Finnish based driver to join the Werks Racing team. This represents the first of several upcoming announcements as Werks Racing embarks on an aggressive growth plan in the European market.

Werks Racing have announced the release of the newest addition to their range of competition tires, the new 1/8th “Stubs” buggy tire. Designed for blue groove or high grip type track conditions, the tire utilizes a mini-pin type tread design for maximum grip without allowing the pins to fold over. The new 1/8 “Stubs” also incorporates a larger center pin design for improved forward bite with a slightly domed carcass profile to reduce the tendency for the car to catch edges and roll as is common in blue groove type situations. Comes complete with molded foam insert for the utmost in consistency.

Werks Racing have announced that after months of exhaustive testing in competition conditions, they will enter the Truggy tire market with it’s new “Lugs MT” tire. Developed specifically for competition use utilizing Werks Racing’s proprietary high grip, low wear rubber compounds for maximum grip and longevity.

The “Lugs MT” is designed around our completely new, low profile carcass design with a rounded side wall profile. The low profile carcass design provides immediate steering response while the rounded side wall profile reduces carcass roll. Additionally our new carcass design virtually eliminate ballooning without the need for heavy internal ribbing as used by others. Combine our unique carcass design with our specially developed white foam inserts that are virtually immune to breaking down and you end up with a MT tire/insert package that is as much as 25% lighter than other products on the market.

Werks Racing have introduced the newest addition to its ‘Team Line’ of engines, the TL21B3-Pro utilizes an improved case design featuring additional stiffening ribs around the sleeve area to control heat expansion, while a new long stroke design, coupled with a race proven 3-port design, provides the perfect blend of strong torque and aggressive top end. The B3-Pro features much of the same factory machining normally only found in higher priced hand modified engines which includes extensive casework improving the primary boost port as well as the transfer ports. Fuel flow is further improved on the sleeve by machined teardropping of the transfer ports as well as a series of crankshaft alterations and combustion chamber changes that include a new fluted crankshaft with revised timing.

Werks Racing have officially entered the European racing scene by sponsoring their first European racer, top Scandanavian racer Ari Heinonen. The Finnish HoBao racer has agreed terms for 2007 and along with running their Werks Teamline B7 .21 Engines he will also use the Werks pipes as well as the companies buggy and truggy tires.

Werks Racing have just released their Team Line B7 .28 competition engine for truggy racing. Developed by Matt Goasch and Michael Sharwin the engine is claiming to push out nearly 3HP, which is quite an extraordinary claim. Its available now for $449.

At almost 3 horsepower, you could say it’s a B7 21 on steroids. If you want the most for your racing truck, this is your engine. 2.95HP 38,000 RPM
