X Factory Infinity SRX-2mm battery straps

X Factory Infinity SRX-2mm battery straps

X Factory Infinity announces a new battery strap for the mid-motor Serpent Spyder SRX-2. The two strips of carbon fibre are direct replacements for the big x-shaped standard strap and they solve two problems with the original part. As a tuning aid, the straps allow more chassis flex than the standard part and they also allow most batteries to be removed with just two thumb screws undone instead of four. The parts use the standard thumb screws and include holes for the stand-offs used to hold a shorty pack.

Infinity by X-Factory B5M chassis

Infinity by X-Factory B5M chassis

X-Factory introduce their new Infinity by X-Factory line, a line of hop-ups for other car brands. The first release is a new carbon fibre chassis for the Associated B5M and the line will be expanded soon to include shock towers, new steering systems and other products that take your car to the next level. This new chassis gives the B5M lots more flex and tunability with drivers reporting much better cornering and increased forward bite on all surfaces. Rough tracks require more flex, so loosen some or all of the side deck screws on the Infinity chassis. The forward screws affect front flex, while the rear ones work on the back end. The kit comes complete with the CF chassis, all the other CF parts, aluminium stand-offs, hardware, and instructions.

MIP Pucks X-6 Cubed 17.5 drive system

MIP Pucks X-6 Cubed 17.5 drive system

The latest vehicle to receive MIP’s Pucks 17.5 drive system treatment is X-Factory’s X-6 Cubed buggy. The Pucks drive system is an aluminium based drivetrain system which includes aluminium diff outdrives, aluminium C-CVD bones, and replaceable plastic orange wear Pucks that take the place of the standard steel pins. This combination greatly increases the longevity of the drivetrain and most importantly decreases the drivetrain’s overall rotating mass by nearly 50 percent, making it ideal for 17.5T stock racing. The decrease in weight directly results in quicker acceleration, deceleration, and lower motor temps. Included in the X-6 Cubed specific kit are also a ball diff set including a new thrust race and a set of blue thread gel, clear silicone and MIP grease.

X-Factory UK X-6S 2WD conversion kit

X Factory UK introduce the X-6S shaft driven 2WD mid motor buggy, a special edition aimed towards the use on astro turf and carpet tracks. The X-6S is based on the popular X-Factory X-6 Cubed front end but utilises the rear suspension and drivetrain from the B44.2 platform. Featuring a lightweight CarbonFlex chassis for both rigid construction and strength whilst retaining the all important controlled flex for consistent bump handling. A carbon fibre multi-layer front top deck system is combined with a new carbon fibre rear top deck designed to optimise flex and to provide easy access for slipper adjustment. The vehicle makes use of the popular shorty LiPo battery packs for improved weight balance while two servo mounting positions and rear mounting locations for added ballast enable easy weight distribution tuning.
