X-Factory UK have released a teaser image for the X-6S. With the current X-6 2WD buggy being the full-blown X-6 Cubed, there now might be some sort of budget “Sport” version in the making. We bring you more information as we get it.

Now available from DMS Partz comes a clear lexan undertray for the X-Factory X-6 Cubed buggy. Designed to keep dust, dirt and moisture away from the chassis the tray sports cut lines marked for both high and low sidewalls, with multiple location holes added for easy installation.

Available soon and a limited edition only is this Pholc bodyshell from Azarashi. Made for the use with the Kyosho RB6 and also mountable on the Tamia TRF201 XR and XM as well as the X Factory X-6 Cubed the body is of a flowing design that sets it apart from the current breed of somewhat edgy cab forward bodyshells. The shell is usable on mid and rear motor buggies and becomes available by the end of February.

New from X Factory and made for the company’s X-6 Cubed buggy, X-60CF stadium truck and SCX-60CF short course truck are these new aluminium parts. You can have them in any colour, as long it is black, and they help to make for a cool stealthy look and perfectly match with the carbon fibre chassis parts.

For the past eight years R/C Excitement in Fitchburg, Massachusetts has hosted the Gobbler race, and the ninth annual event took place last weekend. X Factory team manager Chris Cristo TQed 2WD Short Course and took a wire-to-wire win in the 8 minute A main. John Cravotta qualified his X Factory truck third and finished second, putting the X-Team 1-2 on the podium.

Announced some time ago and finally shipping next week is X Factory’s latest evolution step of the X-6 buggy, the X-6 Cubed. The buggy that broke the mould for modern day mid-motor vehicles received a huge make over and is now based on a slim carbon fibre and aluminium double deck chassis for optimised weight distribution, better cornering and improved jumping characteristics. The chassis is designed for the use with saddle or shorty LiPo battery packs, it features a new tower forward design to bring the rear shock tower forward for an improved shock position and to relocate the rear wing and the kit makes use of X Factory’s known 4-gear transmission. The Cubed will become available as conversion kit for existing Team Associated B4, B4.1 and B4.2 buggies as well as an upgrade kit for X-6 Squared vehicles. Included in both packages is a redesigned body shell and new medium downforce rear wing.

X-Factory have released shots of their prototype X-6 Cubed 2wd buggy ahead of the release of the final car. This car shown is close to the final version with only a few minor changes between this and final production. The biggest one is the way the ball studs are mounted to the rear tower, in production the ball studs will be in the same location but mounted vertically. As you can see from the photos the Cubed will be an all carbon fibre car in keeping with X-Factory’s recently released SCX-60CF short course and the X-60CF stadium truck. The buggy has a top deck for easily adjustable chassis flex, a new slim design for better cornering and performance over bumps and is very close to minimum legal weight. It will also come with an all new body and medium downforce wing. Expect it to hit shops in June.

X Factory introduce 3mm carbon fibre hub camber plates for the use with the Team Associated aluminum hub carriers. Coming as a set of four, including a pair of 4-hole plates of standard AE height and two 3-hole plates that are 0.072” lower than standard. The lower ball stud gives the car better balance in corners because it does not shift as much weight to the outside tire. The camber link plates come with black 0.030” spacers to extend the ball stud so the ball cup does not interfere with the hub carrier, and two black locking nuts to secure the ball studs. The plates for all cars that make use of the AE aluminum hub carriers.
