Philippine Masters ’25 track revealed

The organisers of the Philippine Masters has revealed the Circulo Verde Race Track which will host Asia’s most high profile 1:8 Offroad event of the year from April 30-May 4.  The 13th running of the Philippine Masters, track designer and accomplished offroad racer Edward Sio has overseen the work which includes the track being newly re-surfaced and oiled.  Tweaking the layout in some sections and they have also added some additional jumps for more actions on this always popular track.  Last year the Manila event was once again won by World Champion Davide Ongaro in a final that saw the legendary Atsushi Hara lead for almost half the final.  With the Philippines famed as a holiday destination, the event has a truly unique vibe living up to the nations tourism tagline ‘It’s More Fun in the Philippines’.  Holding the same status as the TITC in Thailand does among onroad racers, once again Philippine Masters ’25 will form part of Scotty Ernst’s Asian Buggy Championships as the second stop of four races that make up the championship’s third season.

Zen wide & narrow Formula front wings

Zen wide & narrow Formula front wings

Zen have new front wings for 1/10th Formula cars available. First up is the wide type with a width of 170mm, suitable for more modern Formula cars while the narrow type offers a width of 130mm which makes them especially useful for 1980’s and 1990’s cars. Both are designed for low-nose bodyshells and the simple design and pre-drilled 2.6mm mounting holes allow the use of add-on polycarbonate wings. Both the wide and narrow wings are available in black or white colour.

Zen ZFC014 formula 1 chassis kit

Zen ZFC014 formula 1 chassis kit

Zen have released first images of their forthcoming ZFC014 formula 1 chassis kit. Information on specification and features are pretty vague at the moment but it is understood that the set is a conversion or “80 percent” kit that needs the addition of a Tamiya F104 front end and rear axle/differential. The carbon fibre chassis allows to use shorty LiPo battery packs in longitudinal and transversal position, it offers a single bellcrank steering and the power pod links mount in quite unconventional manner as they span from the most outward end of the chassis to a position way behind the rear axle whereas usually the links mount to the front end of the power pod plate on most cars. We bring you more information on the kit as soon as they become available.
