Lens Bodies supports Cruz

Italian body shell manufacturer Lens Bodies has announced that it is to support young West Coast onroad star Jacob Cruz.  The American Mugen Seiki team driver is in for a big year in 2024 as the ISTC World Championships travels to California’s Finishline RC Raceway later this year where he has been doing extensive body testing.  Runner-up at the 2023 ROAR Electric Onroad Paved Nationals, the teenager also took the win at the Arizona State Championships during the Summer and will be looking to make his mark on the World stage in 2024.

Lens Bodies ‘Ghibli’ 1:10 Electric Touring Car Body

Italian body shell producer Lens Bodies has announced the release of the Ghibli body shell for 1:10 Electric Touring Car.  Set to be on the market soon, the Ghibli is the first 1:10 body release from Nicola Marrone’s new brand and will be available in 3 different weights – standard, light and ultra light.  The body is homologated by EFRA.

Lens Bodies 1:8 ‘BORA’ Wing

Following the release of their ‘Bora’ 1:8 Onroad bodyshell last month, market newcomers Lens Bodies has released just released the ‘Bora’ wing.  Made with polycarbonate in standard or light weight options, it is designed to perfectly fit on Bora 1:8 bodyshell.  It is available as a stand alone wing or also as part of a kit which includes stiffeners for the body.

Greiner to race Lens Bodies

Less of an announcement but more confirmation of the expected, new bodyshell start-up Lens Bodies has announced Dominic Greiner will represent the brand on track and race their upcoming releases.  Greiner made the switch to the Hotrace Tyres team back in January and with Nicola Marrone behind both manufacturers we expected he would capitalise on the former World Champion’s services to also use his bodyshells, CAD images of the ‘BORA’ being released earlier this week.

Lens Bodies ‘BORA’ 1:8 Onroad bodyshell

Market newcomers Lens Bodies has released a preview of its soon to be released ‘Bora’ 1:8 Onroad bodyshell.  Lens Bodies is the latest business venture of experienced international nitro onroad racer Nicole Marrone, the same person who is behind successful Italian tyre manufacturer Hotrace Tyres.   Releasing CAD images of the bodyshell, they state, ‘the project was developed in the wind tunnel with the help of the fluid dynamics/aerodynamics department of the SUN University of Aversa.  We have thus managed to achieve a balance between downforce and smoothness of the car when cornering to achieve faster lap times.’  Marrone himself also stated on his own personal social media, ‘We are trying to do something different. Many thanks to all the peoples that are working with me on this project.  Bodies are not yet on the market, missing some few details, but we will be very soon’.
