RPM Kraton 8S front upper & lower A-arms

Made for Arrma’s popular Kraton 8S and Outcast 8S trucks are new heavy-duty front upper and lower A-arms coming from RPM. The Arrma Kraton 8S and Outcast 8S are 12kg of high-flying, dirt shredding, jump-killing fun and RPM’s replacement front A-arms are designed with the backyard basher in mind and can handle some serious abuse and come back for more. The redesigned front lower A-arms have a triple beam style construction designed to spread impact energy across all three beams. Each beam’s cross-section is 15.8mm tall and 9.5mm wide. These massive beams reduce unwanted flex during normal suspension movement, yet allow impact-absorption during those not-so-perfect landings and crashes. RPM also moved the inner cross brace away from the chassis, eliminating the droop stop entirely. While this may seem counter-intuitive, RPM’s test truck’s chassis was bent at the droop stops, clearly illustrating that extreme impacts were too much for the chassis plate to handle. After all, there’s not much worse than a bent chassis. The front upper A-arms use a dual beam construction where each beam is 12.7mm tall and 9.5mm wide. The designers eliminated the tube shape over the hinge pin to eliminate built-in moulding stresses while beefing up the leading edge hinge pin support to add some much needed strength and durability. Both upper and lower A-arms are moulded with fingernail slots that allow easy access to remove the optional aluminium support ring at the pivot ball. The arms are made in the USA from RPM’s trademark blend of ultra durable materials and they are available as left and right side sets.

Traxxas X-Maxx heavy-duty roof skids

Traxxas have introduced their new heavy-duty roof skids for the X-Maxx monster truck. Just like the company’s heavy-duty suspension arms, the new roof skid plates use a very tough composite material, offering just the right amount of flex to resist breakage – even in cold weather. The accessory skids protect the roof during rollovers and come in six dynamic colours for custom designs. In order to install the roof skid on the X-Maxx, owners will also need to install the Traxxas #7713X rear body support. The new rear body support replaces the existing support and provides bosses to attach the roof skid.

Fenix twin damper kit & Mistral 2.0 carbon axle

Fenix have added new pan car option parts to their portfolio in the form of a general twin damper kit as well as a carbon fibre rear axle for their Mistral 2.0 formula kit. Starting with the twin damper kit, the set is ideal for drivers looking to replace their car’s side springs with a dual damper setup. The dampers accept the popular CRC and Team Associated springs and include four long and four short ball cups as well as two 4.8mm pivot balls, allowing to adapt the kit to many popular 1/10th scale pan cars. As for the carbon fibre rear axle shaft for the Mistral 2.0, the lightweight yet ultra precise part allows for a massive weight saving of about 11g compared to the standard titanium axle, meaning less rotational and overall mass for better acceleration and improved handling.
