Asian company Scorpion, known for their high-performance aircraft brushless motors and controllers, slowly but steadily step into the car market with the introduction of the 7.4V 6200mAh Platinum series LiPo battery pack. The hardcase battery is built from high-quality 65C cells and it sports standard dimensions of 138.4×46.6×24.9mm making it usable in a wide range of applications.

Italian company Project in cooperation with AGM introduce the updated Push V2 quick release wheel mounts for 1/8th on-road vehicles. The wheel axles feature a symmetrical design minimising possible imbalance as associated with conventional lever-type quick release mounts. New to the V2 is a hardcoated surface on the hubs for improved wear characteristics as well as new springs that make for better durability compared to the previous parts. In addition to the standard black release buttons Project will also release limited edition orange, red and blue variants.

Italian company Bittydesign are currently working on a new 190mm electric touring car bodyshell specially designed for carpet racing. By the looks of things the body will sport a BMW-ish double kidney front grille design making this the second “scale” body following the company’s MC10 “Camaro” body. VBC Racing have new option parts available for the Lightning series of pan cars such as the Lightning12, Lightning10 and LightningF. First up is an aluminium centre shock and antenna mount. The CNC-machined part comes black anodised and with machined silver edges for improved looks. Also new is a range of titanium-nitride coated shafts such as 2mm upper suspension pins, kingpins and a TBX shock shaft. The slick yet hard-wearing surface makes for improved suspension smoothness and longer intervals between rebuilds. German carbon fibre specialists PSM introduce a shorty conversion carbon fibre main chassis kit for the Team Associated B44.3 4WD buggy. The set was designed with the goal to bring back a slightly softer chassis to the buggy in order to improve performance especially on low to medium-bite surfaces thanks to higher torsional flex compared to the standard aluminium chassis. Included with the 2.5mm main chassis comes PSM’s AirMount battery location system that keeps the shorty LiPo pack in place without disrupting equal left to right flex while being light of weight at the same time. An optional battery tray set for saddle pack LiPos is available also for those who opt to run a more conventional layout. Overall the chassis set scrubs around 60g of weight allowing to add balancing weights where needed. Included with the set comes the main chassis with centre brace, left and right hand shorty LiPo braces, the AirMount system as well as threaded inserts and all needed hardware.

ST Racing Concepts have a load of aluminium option parts available for Axial’s Yeti off-road vehicle. First up are an aluminium centre motor mount and motor cam combo that is ideal when running high performance brushless motors. The parts replace the stock plastic pieces, they help with heat dissipation and add rigidity where it is needed. The motor mount parts are available in black, gun metal, green, silver and web-only limited edition red anodising.

Vision Racing introduce this 5mm carbon fibre shock tower for the 22 2.0 or 22. It incorporates micro tune shock positioning by adding two in between holes to the three stock positions. The smaller centre section also allows more undisturbed air to the body while the tower is very light of weight too, being 1.8 grams lighter then the stock tower.

Schelle Racing Innovations introduce new option parts for the Hot Bodies D413 and the Team Associated B5M. Starting with the D413 Stretch Chassis Set, the Kurt Wenger designed part offers a lengthened wheelbase to improve the car even more. The buggy in kit chassis length pitches very quickly front to rear when entering and exiting turns and drivers are also aware that in shorty configuration the D413 can struggle with exaggerated throttle response in the air.
