Team Saxo introduce their new Formula 1 body shell for most of today’s formula chassis. It features a narrow cab and sharp front end design to maximise airflow and minimising drag in order to help with top speed on flowing high speed tracks. The side pods are specially designed to allow for good aerodynamics and enough room for the electronics at the same time. The unnamed body will become available from beginning of November.

JConcepts introduce the Finnisher body shell for the Centro C4.2 conversion. The body is of a tightened design, slimming the overall look of the buggy and it sports a smoother high-speed transition with increased airflow making it ideal for high-speed circuits. A centre roof channel improves stability and increases roof stiffness while double side windows create a new look and a small scoop improves motor cooling. The body comes including two 6.5″ Hi-Clearance wings, window masks and decal sheet.

Xray introduce this ultra low-profile body shell for the XB9e 1/8th off-road buggy. The high performance body is of a low centre of gravity and very aerodynamic design to not only stand out from the crowd but also increase the performance of the buggy. The sides of the body were specially designed to perfectly match the shape of the side guards, preventing dirt from entering. The rear body mount hole is oval-shaped to ensure the necessary body movement when landing jumps, while the mild cab forward design in combination with the low profile design ensures perfect aerodynamics. The body comes clear, including window masks and overspray film.

Protoform today released a teaser image sporting a blurred-out “6” starting rumours that there is a new Mazdaspeed 6 in the making. The current incarnation of PF’s Mazda 6 is a bit “aging” although still the number one choice for many racers on both carpet and asphalt tracks. Protoform introduce the 1971 Pontiac Firebird VTA body shell. The Pontiac Firebird Trans Am was one of the signature cars of the former full-scale series, and now Protoform has captured its trademark look in the release of the ’71 model for the VTA 1/10th scale racing class. From its aggressive front beak, to the duck tail-style rear spoiler, to the mother of all macho items – the shaker hood scoop – no detail was overlooked. The front nose cone is moulded separately, and when mounted with the 2mm screws and/or liquid adhesive, it becomes an integral part of the body. Because this area of a race body is the most prone to racing wear and tear, a second nose is included. The body comes clear, including nose mounting hardware and a large decal sheet and it fits virtually every 200mm touring car chassis and as well as 190mm cars equipped with off-set wheels.

New from JConcepts comes the radically looking Nissan Armada short course truck body. The exterior of the Armada is built to cater to racer demands. Aggressive, high-impact headlight and grille treatment has an unmistakable straight-on look. Included in the front hood design are reverse louvers which are built-in to allow two air-escape passages. The famous Nissan fender treatment has an additional raised section which allows plenty of front tire clearance under load. The raised section is double purpose and also functions as an additional air escape feature while the low-profile roof line helps maintain a low centre of gravity allowing the SUV to transition the turns like a JConcepts heritage truck design. Two, rear, easy to trim, Hi-Flow cut-outs chiseled between the SUV rear windows along with upper access for ream-able hole cut-outs complete a polished air release package. The body comes with decal sheet and window masks and is a direct fit on Slash, SC10, XXX-SCT, SCT-E and SCT 410 trucks with others may fit with additional trimming.

Team Titan introduce their first ever Formula 1 body shell in the form of the Blitz F101. Incorporating a modern high nose design, it includes an integrated moulded driver figure, and it is made from 1.0mm polycarbonate for high rigidity while being light of weight at the same time. The body fits most of today’s formula 1 chassis, comes clear, including a decal sheet and without front or rear wing.
