Bitty Design prototype Losi 8ight shell

Bitty Design prototype Losi 8ight shell

Bitty Design were in touch to tell us about their new prototype Losi 8ight body shell. The new EU style shell features a fin along the top along with more pronounced channel over the back of the car to improve the downforce in high speed turns. Also thanks to a new air scoop situated along the side of the cockpit, the throttle and brake linkages don’t rub of the inside of the shell when in operation. The body in the photos is currently only a prototype, with the final version due to receive some final tweaks before it becomes available at the end of April, when it can be purchased from BD directly or through their network of distributors.

ProDrive Tamiya 801 option parts

These new Tamiya 801 hop-ups from East Coast Bodies sub brand ProDrive were designed in conjunction with factory driver Victor Wilck for light weight, maximum durability and great looks. The hard blue anodized alloy steering posts save weight but still provide strong precise steering response, while the alloy center drive cups, axles and Titanium inner diff gear shafts all reduce critical rotating mass for quick acceleration and maximum punch. Also new from East Coast Bodies is the pre-painted Viktor Wilck replica of their new 801 body shell that we featured previously in half painted form.

Pro-Line D8 & RC8 Bulldog shells

Pro-Line D8 & RC8 Bulldog shells

Team drivers Ryan Cavalieri, Travis Amezcua and Ty Tessmann put their heads together with the Pro-Line development team with a mission to apply the radical cab-forward BullDog body design to a buggy. All three drivers used the body to achieve impressive results, winning the 1:8 Pro Buggy Class at the Silver State Nitro Challenge the first time the body hit the track. Featuring an advanced forward cab design, it generates unmatched off-power steering, while the exposed cylinder head stabilizes engine temps and the flattened rear deck feeds the wing with clean air flow. Made from durable / genuine .040 Lexan, the shell is currently available for the Hot Bodies D8 and Associated RC8.

HMS Group C P-Type Pro 10 body shell

HMS Group C P-Type Pro 10 body shell

SF Modellsport have introduced the next generation of Pro 10 body shell, the HMS Group C P-Type. The P-Type was especially developed for modern Pro 10’s with brushless motors. A flush and gently forward pulled driver’s cabin enables an ideal flow of air to the rear wing, while the long front end generates optimal downforce at the front axle. Small edges over the rear wheel arches connected to the large end plates of the rear wing give a very stable handling. Available in May, the shell is made from 1mm thick lexan and comes with a protective overspray film.
