JConcepts D8 & MP9 Illuzion shells

JConcepts have released 2 new buggy shells for the World Championship winning Hot Bodies D8 and the Kyosho Inferno MP9. The Illuzion Hi-Flow body has turned radical, presenting a smooth yet detailed design while incorporating many of the features from the original Hi-Flow body. Special consideration has been made for the MP9 considering the air filter, side guards, battery box and extra clearance around the throttle and brake linkage. In addition, JConcepts has taken the frustration out of the stock body design and has detached the front nose piece for extra durability and functionality, which is now bolted to the front shock tower utilizing an existing non structural 3rd screw. Race inspired aggressive styling, Illuzionized cab and durable design are just some of the features that make these new Illuzion bodies stand out.

Pro-Line Carnage Desert Rat for Slash

Anyone who has ever watch CORR series racing knows that the cars tend to look rather 2nd hand after some close racing. Pro-Line have recognized this and have released a World’s first, an RC body with breakaway panels. The Carnage Desert Rat is the usual good looking offering from Pro-Line but the front and rear fenders can come off when impacted, adding to the scale realism. Simply install the included 3M® lock material and your ready to rumble again, and again, and again. Made from durable/genuine .060 Lexan, it is supplied with decal sheet, window masks and paint-then-peel over spray film. Check out the small video on their site by following the link below.

Artec Racing MK-001 1/8th body shell

We received a release from Artec Racing, another new player in the r/c market who will come out with a new 1/8th scale on-road body shell. We were sent a teaser shot of their first 1/8th body shell named the Artec MK-001. Designed and tested by two top international Team Orion and Kyosho drivers, Ilia Van Gastel and Adrien Bertin, it features a ‘stealth’ shaped cockpit and some ‘innovative’ features at the rear, but this will be revealed later at the Nürnberg toyfair where it will be seen on Adrien Bertin’s car at the Team Orion stand.

LimmetED Mini-Z Body shells

Small Swedish manufacturer LimmetED has begun the production of it’s own range of clear Mini-Z body shells. Currently there are 5 different styles available, emulating some of the more popular GT and DTM cars, with more bodies in the works. All shells have a 102mm wheelbase and 3+ offset front and rear just like the new MR02 LM.

Blitz Lola R09 1/8th scale body

New from Team Titan, is their latest Bitz 1/8th scale body shell, called the Lola 09. In development for more than 6 months, this latest design has been created for modern 1/8th racing chassis’, which have higher rear body mounts, providing better rear downforce. Available in 3 different thicknesses of polycarbonate – 1.0mm, 0.9mm & 0.8mm, they have also added 2 small wings in front of each wheel arch for better steering reaction and downforce. EFRA and ROAR homologated, each shell is supplied with side supports and comes clear with an overspray film.

East Civic bodyshell Carbon look

East Civic Carbon look shell

EAST have announced the upcoming release of a carbon look version of their popular Civic 1/10th touring car bodyshell. Sold in carbon fibre finish, the windows unfortunately aren’t see through, but the shell is supplied with the light and grill decals as seen in the photos. Same body, different look – perfect for racers with good eyesight who really like carbon fibre.

JConcepts Illuzion Truth Body wraps

We recently wrote about the new JConcepts Truth shell for the Traxxas Slash, now the Florida based company has released 2 body wraps for the same body. As well as a red coloured wrap JConcepts has teamed up with the apparel wizards at Good Run Gear to offer an officially licensed GRG off-road truck body wrap. Let the Truth body wrap completely redefine the look of the Slash and look like an official off-road truck while tearing up the local track or neighborhood. Simply spray on a simple 1 or 2 color paint job and apply the GRG / JConcepts wraps and you’re off to the races with a unique looking off-road truck body.
