Serpent release Central Lola body shell

Central Lola body shell

Serpent have announced that they have started selling the new 1/8th scale Central Lola body shell. This new body originated in Japan and is now tearing up the tracks across the World with some top racers currently using it in this weeks Winternats such as Mike Swauger, Paolo Morganti and Michael Salven. We previously mentioned this body when it was first introduced into the US by Serpent USA some months ago.

Providing a huge boost in performance over previous shells, this new EFRA approved body not only provides more steering but also is more stable than other current shells on the market. This improvement in handling converts to faster and more consistent lap times.

Serpent have also released Titanium Nitride coated shock shafts that allows a much smoother action of the shock absorbers as well as making the shafts stronger.

Pro-Line Pre-Screened Bodies

Pro-Line Pre-Screened Bodies

Pro-Line have displayed their new pre-screened bodies at the Toy fair in Germany which feature a nice silver chrome design, amongst others, and they’re designed so that you paint your own base colour to complete the body. The windows aren’t masked however which is unfortunate and not race legal in many countries and also means you need to apply window decals on the outside. That aside, they look good and the better news is that they will be available throughout the entire range of Pro-Line bodies.

Piktor reveal Rush 2 body shell

Piktor Rush 2

Piktor, the French company that has been teasing us with images of their all new and rather unique Rush 2 1/8th scale off road buggy, have finally shown us the complete body shell of the car. This computer generated graphic shows the body shells flowing curves, including the F1 type winglets in front of the rear wheels, as well as the unique front wing. I have to say it looks good, now if they would only release the car we’d all be happy.

Protoform release the DNA 2

Protoform DNA 2

Protoform have released the successor to their race winning DNA 190mm body that has done so well on carpet since it was released. The new body is designed specifically for rubber tire applications. Significant changes were made to optimize the stability and grip levels of this body because of the unique characteristics of rubber tires on carpet and paved tracks. The signature DNA look remains, but the fenders now offer more clearance for 64mm diameter tires and the aero package is more aggressive.
