Exotek 22 aluminium drag & SC rear body mounts

Made for TLR’s 22 series of 2WD vehicles is Exotek’s aluminium rear body mount set for the use with drag racing or short course body shells. The simpler, stronger, and lighter body mounting system was developed for the rear of the 22SCT 3.0 or 22 buggies converted with street drag bodies. The mounts line up with the stock shock tower holes, attach directly to the vehicle’s quick change shock posts and still allow owners to select any shock tower holes for the shocks. They have to be used with optional stock 22SCT body posts and the mounts are machined from 7075 alloy and anodised black with silver chamfer edges for a low weight of only 8.6g for the set whereas the stock SCT body system weighs in at 21g.

JConcepts L8D “decked” late model body shell

JConcepts is following up with a new trend on the Dirt Oval scene with the “decked” version of the L8 night body. Late model vehicles are among the highest class of stock car vehicles in the United States and specialize in wheel to wheel racing while bringing the crowd to its feet. The 10” wide body capable of a drop-fit on an assortment of Late Model chassis, the body styling starts up front with a heavily dropped nose pointing the vehicle in the correct direction. Super tall “power rails” line the front fenders allowing corner tracking stability. The “deck” treatment starts with a mock driver cockpit, then multiple cut-in lovers strengthen the deck while an inner transition starts giving the L8D an inner spoiler to ramp up with. The offset, and separate cab bolts into position with included hardware and once positioned, provides the high-speed through-all stability with open wind shield and rear window design. An asymmetrical designed cab for high-speed left turning has the built-in ability to trim-out the front, rear and side windows for scale appearance and performance. The rear jump window can be left in place, made clear with included window masks for added deflection and to strengthen the cab.

JConcepts 2002 Chevy S-10 drag truck body shell

JConcepts have introduced their new 2002 Chevy S-10 drag truck body shell. The 2002 S-10 was mimicked the larger Chevy pickups during this time with the horizontal bar grille and nicely rounded contours. It looks like a truck, no tricks, no gimmicks, just sincere serviceability and drive. The front-end of the truck designed itself with a lot of carry-over features from the Chevrolet brand which is embodied in the included decal sheet. The hood and cab have been lowered to provide minimal drag to the truck and lends itself to the trucks overall squatty appearance. The bed area has been flattened and raised to provide a lot of clearance and another low-drag feature built into the shell. JConcepts has included a heavy hood-scoop touching off against the windshield and rounding into the front-end until tangency hits. The 13” wheelbase is positioned allowing flexibility on a variety of chassis builds including custom and Team Associated’s new DR10 vehicle. Fender flares are built into the rocker panel just as the scale S-10 and just open and flare enough to house drag racing tires such as the JConcepts Hotties. Included with each body set comes a 2002 Chevy S-10 decal sheet, rear wing option including lower support and upper wing spoiler and the paint mask for all windows.

Exotek P1-Z USGT body shell

Exotek have introduced the P1-Z USGT body shell for 190mm electric touring cars. USGT approved, the legendary 6-times USGT Nationals winning body returns with a new name but with the same looks and handling. It features an aggressive splitter, flared fenders, low slung hood, downforce inducing side skirts and extra rear spoiler elements for the most aggressive aero package with minimal drag. The body uses premium polycarbonate that is a proprietary custom produced polycarbonate only for Exotek that is much stronger and longer lasting than other similar thickness polycarbonate. The body has two trim lines marked on the bottom; one for low profile shock towers and the second mark for extra low body mounting on cars such as the Awesomatix A800. The wing has two trim lines; one is the 10mm USGT legal trim line and the second is a 20mm trim line similar to sedan wings for extra downforce. The body was designed with ample tyre clearance in the wheel wells to mount the body low without rubbing the tyres and a specially shaped splitter provides steering while being durable thanks to the modified angles while raised wing pedestals place the wing higher up into clean air. The body comes clear, including window masks, a decal sheet and wing mounting hardware.
