JConcepts 190mm touring car body shell – First images

Spotted on the car of Serpent’s Felix Law at the latest round of the CETC at RCI V2 in Shanghai is a 190mm touring car body shell from JConcepts. Still in development it is exciting to see that the off-road specialist is entering the on-road market with a somewhat unique looking shell that features a very characteristic front section that is significantly longer compared to current bodies. The idea behind the design is to do away with the need for extremely forward mounted bodies, which is done to gain further steering emphasis, keeping the overall appearance intact and the wheel houses where they belong. Nevertheless Felix’ prototype body still is being mounted a tad forward here in Shanghai as you can see from our images. Other design elements include a very pronounced grill section, ribbing in front of the windscreen for improved stability as well as an anti-tuck rear bumper section. We are not allowed to do close up photos but we bring you more information on the project’s development as soon as they surface.

Exotek P-Zero GT USGT 190mm body shell

Coming from Exotek is the P-Zero GT 190mm USGT class body shell. Exotek’s first ever body for the highly competitive USGT/GT classes features an aggressive splitter, flared fenders, low slung hood, downforce inducing side skirts, compact cockpit and extra rear spoiler elements for the most aggressive aero package with minimal drag. The wing has also has two trim lines; one is the 10mm USGT legal trim line and the second is a 20mm trim line similar to sedan wings for extra downforce. Details such as the extra rear spoiler elements increases rear downforce to compensate for the small 10mm USGT wing regulation. Designed with ample tyre clearance in the wheel wells to mount the body low without rubbing the tyres and a specially shaped splitter provides steering while being durable thanks to the modified angles. The body set includes the 0.5mm clear unpainted polycarbonate body and wing, steel wing hardware, window masks, logo stickers and an instruction sheet.
