Losi Tenacity-T 1/10th 4WD truggy RTR

The latest incarnation of Losi’s popular Tenacity platform is the Tenacity-T 1/10th 4WD brushless ready-to-run truggy. The truck builds on a sturdy composite chassis with a tough 4WD drivetrain, race-inspired 12mm composite shock absorbers and bottom-load battery tray. A Dynamite Fuze 550 3800kV brushless motor, a 130A sensorless brushless controller and an optional 2S or 3S LiPo battery pack make up the power train. With optional gearing the model can achieve speed of over 80km/h and the control is taken care off by a Spektrum DX2E Active transmitter and 9kg-cm torque steering servo. Waterproof components make for go-everywhere ability and grippy tyres on multi-spoke rims let the truck, that is available in two colour variants, stand out.

Carisma Lotus Exige V6 Cup R RTR

Coming from Carisma is the Lotus Exige V6 Cup R 1/10th 4WD RTR kit. It is based on the 1/10th M40S 4WD touring car chassis that utilises oil-filled shock absorbers, adjustable camber, easily tunable gear differentials, and a 19T brushed motor. The 190mm body has light buckets and comes with a LED light kit in the box. The body itself will also fit on most other touring, or drift car chassis, offering end users unlimited future upgrade potential. High grip, soft compound rubber racing slicks, a 2.4Ghz FHSS radio system and LiPo-ready programmable ESC round out the package.

Zero Tribe T4 FWD conversion – Concept

Zero Tribe from Japan have released a first rendering of their FWD conversion kit for the Xray T4 [2016/17] series of 4WD touring cars. Coming from the same mind as the Spice BD7 FWD kit, the design uses as many original parts as possible without making compromises in terms of performance. No running prototypes are existing yet but it is understood that Zero Tripe plan to getting the car produced in case of positive test results.

Team C Racing TM2 V3 2WD off-road buggy

Coming soon from Team C Racing is their TM2 V3 2WD off-road buggy. The inline mid-motor kit, that is designed for high to very high bite track conditions, will be based off of a new aluminum chassis with plastic side rails, it comes with the TM4-design slipper clutch and a new motor mount. A redesigned body shell is rounding out the package with the kit being ready to hit stores in March.

Traxxas Unlimited Desert Racer Pro-Scale RTR

Traxxas have introduced their new Unlimited Desert Racer Pro-Scale ready-to-run truck. The 694mm long off-road truck offers extreme scale realism with performance to match as it features an independent front suspension, 4-link rear solid axle and a capable 4WD drivetrain. The core of the truck is the inverted tub chassis that allows to replace batteries without removing the body or drop the entire motor and transmission assembly as a single unit. The design also concentrates weight as low as possible for exceptional handling. The versatile battery compartment allows the use of dual 2S or 3S LiPos or a single 4S brick.

2018 Nuremberg International Toyfair – Traxxas

Another company making an appearance at this week’s Nuremberg International Toyfair is Traxxas who introduce their new Pro Scale Unlimited Desert Racer as well as a heavily revamped E-Revo. As for the Pro Scale series, the truck ranges somewhere in-between a 1/8th and 1/7th scale vehicle and will offer a huge amount of suspension travel and cool scale looks. It is understood that the electric-powered truck will become available in several body designs. As for the 2018 E-Revo, the popular truck was heavily revised and will sport up to 90 percent new or updated parts. We bring you more information on the RTR vehicles as they become available.

Tamiya TRF103 1/10th formula kit

Tamiya have released first written information and an additional image of their forthcoming TRF103 1/10th scale formula kit that is on show during this week’s Nuremberg International Toyfair in Germany. The high-specification formula chassis is built around carbon fibre lower and upper decks, with front lower and upper arms also crafted from carbon fibre plate. Front camber and caster angles can be altered via the upper arm attachment components. At the rear of the car, there is a choice of 2 suspension types: a link setup for high-grip surfaces; and a T-bar setup for lower grip conditions. Chassis roll is regulated by individual left and right friction dampers, while changing the carbon fiber rear shaft position allows two different wheelbases. The kit is set for a release mid-May.

2018 Nuremberg International Toyfair – Tamiya

The 2018 edition of the annual Nuremberg International Toyfair kicked off today and one of the few RC car related companies that made the trip over to Germany is Tamiya. The fair lost most of his previous shine in recent years with 2018 marking a new low in terms of manufacturer appearances but this did not stop Tamiya from attending and presenting a host of new products such as the marvellous Citroen 2CV on a long wheelbase M-chassis. Other new kits include the TRF103 competition formula chassis, the Lancia 037 Rally on a TA-02S basis, as well as the the fully hop-upped TA07R.
