Exotek TC6TEK performance chassis conversion

Exotek have release their TC6TEK performance ultra narrow LiPo chassis conversion set complete with bushing supported hinge pin blocks for the TC6.1 or TC6. The new design incorporates heavy duty bushing supported hinge pin blocks, the same concept incorporated into other world caliber touring cars by Tamiya, Yokomo and Hot Bodies. The steel insert bushings insure ultra free suspension movement, no matter the arm angles. Newly designed 7075 heavy duty bulkheads are included and their shortened design allows for improved chassis flex. 4 heavy duty 7075 suspension blocks are included, FF-C, FR-C (split style), RF-XB (split style) and RR-D and the included blocks will give you 0 degree of front arm sweep and 3 degrees of rear toe. The chassis is made from 2.25mm USA made precision cut soft weave carbon fiber and at only 84mm wide the main chassis can better utilize lower ride heights for more aggressive cornering.

Akula Racing AKX2 Thresher conversion kit

Akula Racing have announced the AKX2 Thresher chassis conversion kit for the Ansmann X2C and Teacm C TC02C kits. The kit replaces the three-piece moulded plastic chassis with a 3mm thick 6082 aluminium chassis. This is fitted with carbon fibre side plates to control the flex, this gives the option to tune the chassis flex by changing the height of these from the chassis, the higher they are the stiffer the chassis becomes. The main benefit from a one piece aluminium chassis over the moulded plastic on the X2C/TC02C is that it has much more consistent and controllable flex which improves steering response, gives more overall grip, greater consistency and even better rear traction.
