BMT 081 Rally Game chassis

Long standing Italian manufacturer BMT are close to releasing their latest Rally game chassis, the 081. This new chassis has completely revised geometry, better weight distribution and a lower centre of gravity compared its predecessor. The car, in the hands of super quick Italian racer, Francesco Tironi, was used to win the RG class at last weekends Kyosho/ Sirio Cup in Greece. Due to the country’s rules, Tironi had fitted a 2 speed gearbox to his car, something that is normally not allowed in the rules, and despite breaking a 1st gear in the race was able to stay out in front and take home the win.

Kyosho Inferno GT2 McLaren F1 GTR

Just 28 of the 107 McLaren F1 supercars produced in the 90’s were allocated for the “GTR” racing program, which included the F1 GTR of Kokusai Kaihatsu Racing. In 1995 during its first year racing the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the F1 GTR dominated the entire field including the prototypes, which are usually the overwhelming favorites to win. The Kaihatsu Racing entry won the overall championship and the F1 GTR took four of the top five overall finishing positions. Recognizing the importance of the victory and its historical significance, McLaren took the car back to their facility and it was never raced again. The newest version of the Inferno GT2 features a faithful reproduction of this legendary McLaren F1 GTR. The body is factory licensed by McLaren to ensure the quality and appearance meets the demanding McLaren standards.

Tamiya TRF416 Worlds Edition

Used to win the ISTC electric touring car World Championships 2 weeks ago, Tamiya have released full details on the TRF416 Worlds Edition. Not a big change from the previous version of the chassis, this new kit is all about refinement. The WE features a new longer top deck that goes around the spur gear assembly all the way to the rear axle, new more efficient drive belts, and coated shock shafts & bodies for smoother damping action. Also to cope with the power from modern brushless systems the motor mount has been stiffened up, while as a standard kit setting the car is supplied with a front spool as well as front 1C/1C and rear 1XA/1F lower suspension brackets.

Hot Bodies Cyber 10B buggy

Hot Bodies have released some action shots of what appears to be a new mid range electric buggy. The Cyber 10B is a 4wd 1/10th scale off roader, which bears some similarities to the B-Max from Yokomo in that it appears to be a more stock version of a successful racing platform. Despite this fact, the B-Max went on to win the European and Japanese National Championships. The photos show that it has plastic shock towers front and rear as well as a new body, minus the D4 roof scoop, which also has a seperate nose piece mounted in front of the tower. Other details are not known but I have mailed HPI Japan to try and get some.
