GS Racing have announced the release of this RTR version of their 1/10th 4wd Stadium truck, called the Shadow ST1R. This truck retains the proven suspension system from the original ST1, but sports new high quality race differentials, while the car is powered by a high torque GS R18ST engine. All these changes combine to make a great performing car, while for looks the car is topped off with a pre-painted “Korn Designs” body.

Yokomo SD12 TR

Yokomo have released some details, althought only in Japanese so far, about their new SD12 TR truggy. This rather robust looking car is electric powered and despite how you may judge it based on its front wheels, is in fact 2wd. All the other details about this 1/12th scale car are unknown to me, but if you can read Japanese which i know some of our readers can, please post some info into the comments section for this story.

Kyosho Gas powered 1/12th pan car

Kyosho Gas powered 1/12th pan car

The picture above was spotted in this months issue of the Japanese magazine, RC Magazine. It shows a new, concept stage, project by Kyosho to make a 1/12th gas powered 4wd pan car, sporting what looks like the same Sirio .09 engine that comes with the Mini Inferno range of buggies. As my Japanese is pretty bad, all i can comment on is the picture and i have to say that it looks like a rather awkward and cramped layout with 2 belt configuration, side mounted disk brake and 2 speed gearbox. The rear top mounted exhaust just looks like an afterthought and as much as the center of the car looks too busy, the front has nothing going on. What do you guys think?

Tech Racing TA05 Athlete conversion kit

Tech Racing TA05 Athlete

Tech Racing, makers of the MY07 Medusa EX, have announced their new Athlete conversion set for the Tamiya TA05. Featuring a long center upper deck, the car is now super rigid, making it perfect for high traction surfaces and the new kit also sports a much lower center of gravity than that on the standard kit. Another new item in the conversion kit is a new motor mount that allows you to remove the motor without having to remove the pinion gear and the part is also made in such a way as to keep the center of gravity as low as possible.

Corally RDX Phi – US Spec defined

Corally RDX Phi

Corally USA have released more details on the 2 different specs, European and US, that the RDX Phi will be made available in. The European version has been designed for 5 cells and comes with a front one-way, rear differential and 3 degree caster blocks, while the US version will be a 6-cell chassis and comes with front differential, rear differential, 6 degree caster blocks as well as harder silver springs. Whats interesting is that Corally haven’t followed other manufacturers in making a thicker chassis for their US spec kits, perhaps its already stiff enough?
