Sunpadow Platin 5400mAh & 5500mAh packs

Sunpadow have released two new Platin series LiPo batteries, which consists of a 7.4V 5500mAh ULCG battery and a 7.4V 5400mAh shorty battery. Compared to the previous gold 5300mAh and 4500mAh packs, under the same size respectively, these two new products have significantly improved discharge rate as well as capacity. The use of newly developed super conductive materials can greatly reduce the common swelling of LiPo batteries. The Platin 5500mAh ULCG battery is perfectly suitable for 1/10 TC Modified, especially on small to medium sized tracks, while the Platin 5400mAh shorty battery is suitable for F1, FWD and some 1/10 and 1/8th scaleĀ  off-road applications. The new shorty pack features an increased capacity of nearly 20%, compared to its previous version, it also can be an option for some 1/8 on-road cars.

LRP Antix line of hobby LiPo batteries

After months of development and testing, LRP are pleased to present their new Antix batteries. The perfect LiPos for hobby and amateur drivers who are mindful of their budget but still want to run LiPo batteries of high quality. The classic, rounded ‘stick pack’ shape in 134mm length also fits perfectly into older chassis that were designed for this shape and length. Due to the 4mm off-centre cable outlet, the battery posts are also no longer in the way. Available in 3100 and 4100mAh and with popular connectors such as Tamiya, T-Plug, XT90 and EC5, these will be followed soon by 3S – 6S configurations for the hardcore bashers.

Reedy Zappers SG4 HV-LiPo 2S batteries

New for 2021, Reedy introduce their new Zappers SG4 HV-LiPo 2S batteries. Zappers SG4 batteries incorporate state-of-the-art LiPo chemistry with advancements in construction that result in incremental improvements in power output and internal resistance with huge gains in durability. Featuring a 3.8V/cell nominal voltage, meaning that the battery can be safely charged to 4.35V/cell. It is not a secret that more voltage equals more power, so there is no easier way to increase power and top speed than a higher charge voltage. Even when the typical 8.40V (4.2V/cell) charging limit is enforced, Zappers SG4 shine thanks to their inherently flat discharge curve, which results in higher voltage deeper into the race. Available in several configurations, including all-new 2S Slim Stick and 4S Shorty models, for a variety of on-road and off-road applications. A high quality, durable hard case helps prevent damage while embedded socket connectors keep power-robbing resistance to a minimum. Male ESC connectors are included.

Protek Graphene Plus LiPo packs

Three new Graphene Plus LiPo packs from Protek for various applications. First up is the R/C Drag 2S 120C Shorty battery pack that was developed for Drag Racers who’s clubs do not allow the use of LiHV batteries. This pack delivers equal performance but is legal for use when LiPo batteries are mandatory. Weighing approximately 210 grams, the Drag Pack Shorty is lightweight, while offering increased capacity compared to a standard Shorty LiPo. Next up is 2S slim 120C 5700mAh LiPo Battery which is a great battery option for touring car racers looking for a lightweight, high capacity, low cg stick type battery. Weighing 240 grams, this pack is approximately 11mm narrower than a standard stick pack and ultra lightweight. This provides a more centralised weight bias, with improved power to weight ratio and a lower overall CG. Finally there is the 4S Shorty 120C Low IR 5600mAh battery which is a great option for 1/8 scale racers looking for a high capacity, high output and incredibly compact 4S battery. Weighing approximately 425 grams, the 4S Shorty offers more capacity output, in a compact shorty length that is perfect for weight conscious racers.
