ProTek R/C Power supplies & NiMh battery packs

ProTek R/C Power supplies & NiMh battery packs

A Main Hobbies have announced a range of ProTek R/C brand regulated DC power supplies. Starting with the Pro 40, it has a regulated output of 13.8 volts at 40A while the Pro 20 has the same output voltage but with 20A. One final power supply is the super small Pro 10 regulated DC power supply which as the name suggest, has an output of 10A. All feature an internal cooling system that keeps the power supply cool even when it is being worked hard, as well as current limiting, and short circuit protection circuitry, while the Pro 40 and Pro 20 also feature an integrated USB connector for charging your personal electronics. Combine this with universal output 4mm banana jacks that can also be used with clamp type connectors, and you have one of the most flexible power supplies available. Acorn Racing 12V DC power supply

Acorn Racing 12V DC power supply

Acorn Racing has just sent us a sneak preview of their new prototype 12V DC power supply. This prototype was said to go through 5 design changes before the confirmation of this current piece. The digital meter on the face shows the total amperage that connected equipment is drawing and it has 2 standard outputs compared to the single output that is normally seen in the market. This power supply comes with a reverse polarity protection and it is said to be strong enough to power a tyre truer for the 1/8 scale. ABS material was chosen for the casing over anodized aluminium due to the scratch resistance nature. Expect more information following its official in December.

Much More Cell Master & Power Supply Legend

Much More Cell Master & Power Supply Legend

Shown for the first time at this weeks TITC race in Thailand are the latest charger and power supply offering from Much More. The new Cell Master Legend charger has the same advantages of the current Cell Master and Silent charger, meaning it will be able to charge super linear, just like what Cell master does, and be able to handle Ni-Mh and NiCd, just like the Silent charger does, as well as LiPo, LiFe and LiMn. The new Legend sports two ports up front, one for the built-in balancing port for LiPo, while the 2nd is used for the temperature probe (included) or as an I/O port for the separately available 40A discharger and Cell equalizing charging tray. Interacting with the chargers menu is now different also, with 2 keys (forward and backward) and a wheel, similar to that on your mouse, for changing the value up or down. The new Legend Power supply, pictured below the chargers, is essentially two 20A power supplies in one box and can be monitored by the built in LCD display. The box itself features 4 outputs on the back, 1 output on the front as well as 1 USB port on the right side.
