GB Modelsport has announced the introduction of the full range of Revolution oils from Power Save Racing. Each type has been specially developed to suit specific applications and bearing types and are supplied in a generous and long lasting 25ml bottle. Revolution Yellow is designed to suit high speed ball races such as wheel and differential bearings. Reducing frictional losses this oil will prolong bearing life, whilst improving performance and help deliver longer run times in nitro and electric powered models. Robitronic have released their range of silicone shock and diff oils. Made using 100 percent pure and temperature resistant silicone oil, it comes in 50ml bottles and are available in a wide variety of thicknesses in 50cps increments. To facilitate ease of handling, the bottles are color-coded with green for diff oil and black for damper oil, so you always know which oil bottle to grab from you pit box.
To gain comparable lap times and information during testing an consistent level of grip is indispensable. But when testing outside of a race weekend, an on-road asphalt track normally offers a poor level of grip at the beginning which increases lap by lap which makes a comparison of test results quite difficult. Xray/SMI team driver Dirk Wischnewski, a two-time European Champion in 1/10 scale nitro on-road racing, was facing this problem also. However he has come to a solution which makes his testing very effective. Wischnewski is using Track Max which is a special track treatment compound from Dutch based Tornado. Dirk had this to say:
For a while I have been using Track Max of Tornado on my regular test track and I am enjoying a high and unchanging level of grip all the time. It only takes a few minutes to spray Track Max on the main parts of the track where a certain amount of traction is needed. The grip level will increase rapidly to what you know from big race meetings. Especially after a long winter period Track Max is a perfect stuff to get back to reasonable conditions.

T-Work’s Racing has introduced a special series of grease holder. Made from aluminium and with modern and stylish design, it sports a rubber seal in the lid to prevent spillage. They have also released handy 20cc oil bottles that feature a long reach tip for getting oil into those hard to reach places. Both products come in anodised purple, orange, black and blue.

RB have developed a range of new greases, starting with a copper-based grease, perfect to limit friction and wear on gears such as bevel gears, driveshaft etc. and wont centrifuge for better durability. The second version is a Teflon-based grease, great for limiting friction and wear on ball bearings and differential thrust bearings and which is highly resistant to high temperatures. Both come in a double sealed container of 100g.
