CSO products have released this new clutch bell for the Capricorn 1/8 LAB-C801 on road car. This high quality clutch bell has been made form hard coated 7075 T6 aluminium, which at only 3.7g is lighter than the original kit version.

Huge RC FF11 FF03 conversion

Over 6 months in development by former World Champion Surikarn Chaidajsuriya, Huge RC have release the FF11 FF03 conversion. The prototype was used to win this year’s FWD class at the TITC in Thailand, with the design aimed at making the car more rigid, tunable and reliable on the track. The kit features a narrow 2.5mm carbon fibre chassis allowing it to rip through corners as well as a 2mm carbon fibre top deck held in place by 8 screws which can be removed to adjust flex. A new battery mounting system, utilizing an o-ring and aluminium mounts keeps it in place while tape slots allow it to be secured further. Other features include 3mm carbon fibre front and rear shock towers, one piece aluminium front motor mount and blue anodised aluminium lower bulkheads, which are symmetrical in design allowing the bulkhead to be interchangeable front and rear.

Fastrax’s Power-Start is the ultimate starting solution for nitro vehicles. Featuring a single belt drive system turned by twin 775 size electric motors with internal cooling fans, the power and torque is enough to turn over 1/8th and 1/10 size engines. Internal battery area allows for the use of either twin 7.2v NiMh, twin 7.4v LiPo or a 12v Gel cell and comes supplied with pre-wired Tamiya and gel cell style connectors and convenient on/off switch is housed by the carry handle. Tom Cockerill joins Schumacher Engineering department

Tom Cockerill joins Schumacher Engineering department

Schumacher Racing are pleased to announce that Tom Cockerill has joined the staff of their Engineering Department. Tom is the current BRCA British National Champion in 1/10th Electric 2WD Off Road with the Cougar SV and will be competing at major UK and International Off Road races. Tom has just graduated with an MEng degree in Motorsport Engineering from the University of Central Lancashire. He completed a successful student placement with Schumacher last summer and his racing experience combined with a good knowledge of engineering will be a big asset to the company.

With the growing popularity of the electric 1/8 GT class, it was obvious some changes were needed in the tires. Because of the extraordinary torque an electric motor creates, there is a lot of stress on the tires. The new improved Sweep EXP45 GT tires have been redesigned to provide more forward traction, come up to race temperature quicker and maintain optimum operating temperature. This results in greater acceleration out of the corner, fewer warm up laps and more consistent performance throughout the run.
