Following on from the recent announcement by Sweep Racing about their new EXP range of products comes the company’s new EXP 1/10th on road molded inserts. Coming in soft pink, they are 0.3mm thicker and 1mm wider than the original Sweep inserts and are tapered so the insert sits perfectly against the tire. These changes claim to result in faster laptimes, giving quicker driver response and more consistency.

Pro-Line Racing have released a number of new items for the Traxxas E-Revo VXL. First off is the new Slipstream body shell, a dedicated body designed to maximize performance and airflow to keep your 1:16 Revo running fast and cool. Sporting an extremely high flow air intake directed straight at the endbell of the motor, with an in-and-out airflow design, it is extremely low profile making high speed passes a breeze. Also new for the car is the Dirt Hawg and Road Rage mounted on Titus 2.2” wheels. The Dirt Hawg’s bring the element of control, agility and overall performance to the car with Pro-Line proprietary all-terrain design and high performance M2 rubber compound, while the Road Rage has an aggressive street v-tread made to carve through dust and water while holding dry surfaces with ease.
Calandra Racing Concepts have released their new 1:12th scale Generation-XL, which they claim raises the bar for 1:12th scale racing. In the new version, the ‘XL’ represents the original Gen-X specifically built for LiPo with other performance enhancing features. The car sports the company’s new Encore shock absorber, accepts single cell LiPos with the ability to adjust the mounting position plus a host of other small changes that make up this new car. Coming as a kit it is also available as an upgrade set for current Gen-X owners.

More new items from KM Racing, this time for the European Championship winning Mugen MBX-6. First up is this aluminium centre diff housing which has been hard treated and helps increase rigidity as well as allowing the smooth and efficient movement of the differenial. Next up is a new 1.8mm thick lightweight brake disc, that claims to enhance the braking force. Sweep Racing have released their new high traction type EXP-36E 1/10 on road rubber racing tire, which feature superior traction levels compared to the company’s successful Sweep ‘R’ and ‘QTS’ series tires. Using a new rubber compound to gain maximum traction, the diameter is in between the ‘R’ (65.5mm) and the ‘QTS’ (63.5mm), which is 64.5mm to work well on both carpet and asphalt surfaces. These tires, the first in their new EXP series, are designed for best use in track temperatures starting from 33 degrees celcius.
