Kyosho Inferno GT High Speed Gears

Kyosho Inferno GT High Speed Gears

New from Kyosho, for the automatic two-speed transmission in the Inferno GT, is this new gearing which promises to take speed to a whole new level. The transmission features a 21/40T second gear combination, which gives your GT a 6.3:1 final drive ratio in second gear, up from 7.49:1 in the original GT gearing. That translates to an increase in top speed and less wear and tear on the engine because it doesn’t have to rev so fast to achieve a class-leading top-speed. The GT gearing is easily capable of 55 mph and speeds upwards of 70 mph or more with slight modifications.

Serpent S120 1/12th scale

Serpent S120 1/12th scale

Kept under wraps at the Toy Fair back in February, Serpent have just released the full information on their long awaited 1/12th scale chassis, the S120. The S120 chassis consists of 2 main elements, the 2.5mm thick carbon fibre chassis plate and the rear single piece aluminium motor pod. The chassis uses a T-bar system, which has adjustable tension thanks to its unique tweaking system is damped using a conventional centrally mounted shock absorber together with a laterally mounted floating monoshock. The front end of the car is completely adjustable and utilises the now standard fixed lower suspension arms combined with active top wishbones, which together with kingpin mounted springs ensure that the car is able to corner at high speeds and soak up any small bumps found on the racing surface. In shops early August.

A broad selection of Reedy LiPo batteries is now available to power servos and receivers, transmitters, and starter boxes. Worrying about battery life in long main events or consecutive bump-ups is a thing of the past. And turning over a hard-to-start nitro engine becomes much easier with a high-torque starter-box battery. To operate receivers and servos with 7.4 LiPo batteries, install the optional heavy-duty 5V regulator.
