ABC Hobby, of Japan, have announced the upcoming release of this new mini 1/10th scale chassis, the strangely named Genetic Naked S. The car which is only 163mm wide is very narrow compared to a competition touring car but can accomodate mini type body shells. Featuring 4wd through a central shaft the car has a twin deck chassis and sports front and rear ball diffs as well as a neat lexan spur gear cover. Available in June.

Last week we showed you the new D21T MKII buggy motor from STS Racing and it seems that now you can get a RBMods version which, aside from some hand tuning work to the liner, features some hardening and rust proofing work done to the crankshaft.
A reverse osmosis procedure bringing you the best of all the other mods out on the market, Yes sir we have come full circle with this one folks. Just take a look at the picture attached Notice how some engines loose power and start acting up after some of the nasty fuels we use? It is the crank rusting up and sending rust particles through your engine, Of coarse you know this would have a adverse affect we all do not want. Robitronic have released some new optional parts for their 190mm electric touring, the Avid, which was released at the end of last year. The new parts include this new stiffer 3.5mm carbon fiber chassis plate for carpet racing and other high grip surfaces as well as a new, red anodised, front spool and 2 new low friction belts for a smoother drive train.

Neo Buggy have some news from World Champion engine maker O.S. about their new 3.5cc VZB V-Spec Alu headed buggy engine. The engine appears to be the same as the magnesium headed VZB, however features a more conventional aluminium head for those racers wanting the power of the V-Spec but on a tighter budget. The head’s styling also differs from the distinctive magnesium version as a result of the heat conduction characteristics of aluminium, which mean a smaller diameter can be used, and also allows for a new engine head shape. The weight difference is also kept to a minimum with the alu head only 25g heavier than the Magnesium version.

Orcan, who we have written some pieces about before, have come out with some new products to add to their expanding product range. First up is the V2 version of their motor cooler which apart from a new look, has changed very little from the original version from what we can tell. Secondly Orcan have released these VTEC 1400MAh cells for use in the Xray M18 Pro and similar cars and which can cope with the high power demands of brushless systems, especially in the modified class.

Dutch company Spintec have released the 2nd version of their Battery Manager, which is a conditioner for 4 to 8 cell packs that can discharge all your batteries to keep them in top shape whilst analysing their performance. The Battery Manager v2 conditions your pack for maximum power and runtime using 10A & 35A Coolflex current conditions while all the time keeping it cool and the built in cut-off voltage is adjustable between 0.8 to 1.1 Volt. Whats really neat on this new version of the Battery Manager is the large red-backlight display that gives you all the information such as total runtime, actual voltage, average voltage, total energy, capacity and internal resistance.

Serpent have just acknowledged their entry into the ultra competitive electric touring car market, and shown pictures of their new car, the S400. We first showed you pictures of the car back in February when it made its debut at the Snowbirds in its carpet form, while the new pictures show it in a better light, photographed in its outdoor rubber tire version. The car is expected to be released in July in outdoor spec with a carpet version to follow just before the indoor season starts.
