Kyosho V-One R4 Evo.2 alloy driveshaft set

Coming from Kyosho and made for their V-One R4 Evo.2 1/10th scale 200m nitro on-road kit is an all-aluminium driveshaft set. Machined from high-quality aluminium and coming with a clear surface coating the alloy parts will greatly lower the overall weight and also the rotating masses, allowing for quicker spool-up and acceleration. The wheel axles feature several location holes for the cross pins, allowing to rebuild them a couple of time before they need to be swapped for new parts.

Smokem Racing T4’20 MYD carbon fibre top deck

Following the release of Smokem Racing’s MYD top deck for the ARC R11 MID comes a design to suit the Xray T4 2020. The top deck is of a design that features a narrow 9mm front section which was found to deliver balanced flex characteristics despite the asymmetric design. The result is improved traction, increased in-corner steering and corner speed. The MYD design ensures the top deck will never make contact with the motor as the chassis flexes, with clearance for large-pinioned spec class gearing. The MYD top deck can also be easily removed, making spur gear and belt changes a breeze. The part is machined from high-quality 2.0mm carbon fibre and it is a direct fit.

RC Maker T4’20 carbon fibre floating electronics plate

RC Maker have introduced their Xray T4 2020 floating electronics weight plate in a carbon fibre variant. Weighing in at 12g for the set, 10g of that being close to the centre of the chassis with 2g being the carbon plate, the set is adding minimal weight to the motor side of the chassis. The plate attaches to the often unused antenna mount hole but if owners still want to use this antenna mount, they can use an extra long screw through the lower weight, and thread the antenna mount on-top. Another added bonus is that the construction makes it easy to change chassis or clean the car as the receiver, transponder and fan are simply extracted by undoing one screw.

Ruddog RP541 540 sensored brushless motor

Ruddog Distribution from Germany have announced the release of their all-new RP541 540-size sensored high-performance brushless motor. Designed and engineered in Germany the motor utilises a completely new design with a lightweight aluminium can ensuring a low weight of only around 153g while the new slotless stack design ensures increased performance and efficiency due to the lack of performance-killing milling for the long motor can mounting screws. This was made possible by using a new can design with a 1-piece front section and a short rear can that uses vertical mounting screws. Also new for the RP541 is a machined collector ring that comes silver-plated for the modified variants while the stock motor specific ring is gold-plated for an even lower internal resistance. Other differences between the stock and modified motors include performance enhancing ceramic ball races for the stock motor while the modified motor is equipped with high-qualify steel ball bearings. Part of the package are also optimised magnets that are able to withstand higher temperatures for longer, ensuring less power fading during a run while increasing overall durability. The magnets are also optimised for the RP541’s new slotless stack design. The motors are rounded out by new low-resistance solder tabs and a flat 150mm sensor wire and they are available as 4.5T to 9.5T modified, 6.5T 1S 1/12th scale modified as well as 10.5T to 21.5T stock variants.

MST FXX 2.0S RWD drift car chassis

MST have released first renderings of their forthcoming new FXX 2.0S intermediate-level RWD drift car chassis. Based on the FXX 2.0 KMW’s centralised chassis design the 2.0S utilises a redesigned RWD-specific front suspension for improved steering throw while the MB rear suspension system allows to adjust rear wheel steering characteristics. In addition to that a secondary reduction transmission ensures optimised throttle control compared to conventional drivetrain setups. Other features include a newly developed motor mount and an integrated steering system with alloy steering plate. Full details will become available in time of the kit release.

GForce Classic Pack 7.4V 2100mAh LiPo battery

GForce from Japan have introduced their all-new Classic Pack 7.4V 2100mAh LiPo battery that mimics the appearance of a NiCD racing pack battery. The lightweight battery weighs in at only 105g and it is built using high-quality 40C cells, ensuring good power supply for mild brushless and brushed motors while the black and golden appearance suits many vintage RC cars as does the oval diameter that is ideal for all cars that require a so called racing pack specification. The battery comes pre-wired with a Tamiya-style power connector and an industry standard balancer port and it will become available by early February.

Pro-Line big bore scaler shock absorbers

Coming from Pro-Line and made for many popular crawler vehicles are the new big bore scale shock absorbers. The large, nearly 11mm, bore allows the big bore shocks to function correctly as true performance shocks due to the larger oil volume in the shock body. The shocks feature CNC machined aluminium shock caps, collars, bodies, bottom caps, and hard chrome coated steel shock shafts all made to exacting tolerances. X-ring seals are used as the main shaft seal for smooth, low friction action and to prevent leaks. The shocks are meant to stand out from the crowd with chrome and black anodising and a large P-L logo engraved into the shock cap that will look good on any rig. Pro-Line also engineered an all-new dual-rate spring design made from a single spring that saves space and has incredible scale looks and performance. Optional softer and firmer dual-rate springs are available. The lower spring perch is captured, so drivers always know it will stay where it belongs during your adventures. From the top mounting hole to the bottom mounting hole, these Big Bore Scaler Shocks measure out to be 90mm at full extended length and collapse down to about 64mm – when the rubber bump stop is removed – and they include extra 5mm longer shock ends to increase the shock length. Just like Pro-Line’s Pro-Spec scaler shocks, the big bores come mostly pre-built – without oil – and are designed to fit many popular crawler vehicles.
