Today’s brushless racing introduced new variables, such as mechanical timing, speedo timing, RPM ranges, rotor diameters on top of the rollout variable. The new McPappy Racing DIY Brushless Dyno helps you to make sense of some of that. This dyno platform will allow you to test your motors against a brushless slave motor that provides consistent resistance from test to test. It was designed to accommodate multiple test configurations: direct coupler in between both motors, direct coupler with flywheel in between both motors, offset the motors using 2 pinions, offset the motors using 2 pinions flywheel. The flywheel provides inertia resistance and the brushless slave provides constant resistance. Together they reproduce similar track resistance. The key component to this dyno platform is a huge piece of 1/4″ 6061 aluminum which acts as a giant heat sink. Two large fans and all of that aluminum mass will bring the temperature of the motors and resistors back down to room temperature very quickly. This allows you to run many tests very quickly. To find your most powerful motor and speedo combination is actually quite simple. Your overall goal is to spin the flywheel and slave motor as fast as you can with the least amount of amp draw. RB has expanded its engine tool line with this new tool set for the sleeve, combustion chamber and conrod. The tight tolerances of micro engines sometimes make it difficult to disassemble, especially when it is very new and you have no specific tools. Disassembling a rod, sleeve and the combustion chamber becomes simple when you have the right tool. These RB engine tools are delivered in a box and supplied with an instruction manual to make engine disassembly easy. Suitable for .12, .21 and .28 engine.

CRC have released a number of new products starting with these new molder spur gears. The new spur gears use a 16 ball design to increase contact surface so your diff nut requires less tension to keep the diff from slipping. Less tension on the diff parts means more racing and less rebuilding. These new gears also use 3/32″ balls rather than 1/8″ to keep the rotating weight down and not sacrifice punch by adding the extra balls. Available in 76, 80, 88 and 96T. Also new is the rear top plate which closes in the rear pod, making for a stiffer, stronger pod. This does add some weight as you will have to replace the micro left bulkhead with another motor plate, but is especially helpful in modified where the extreme horsepower can cause some flex. This also makes the rear bottom plate more resistant to breakage during crashes. Finally there are new carbon fiber camber gauges that allow you to quickly and accurately set your camber. Works on 12th and 10th scale cars with measurements from 0.5 to 3.0 in 0.5 increments.
Xceed have released this strong and lightweight stand for all kinds of offroad cars. Made from black anodized lightweight aluminium with Xceed logo laser-engraved, the large holes in the top-deck help with shock-absorber assembly. Foam padding on the top surface prevent the car from slipping, while strengthening ribs on the inside double up as a quick tool-holder too.

T.O.P. Racing have released a number of new parts starting with these two tie rod wrenches in 3.6mm for touring car and 3.2mm for pan cars. Designed in a way that users can get into those difficult to reach tie-rod locations at 2 different angles instead of just going in straight, the tools are made from red anodised alloy. Also from T.O.P. are these optional alloy servo mounts for their Photon touring car. Also made from red anodised aluminium, it allows for a more rigid servo attachment to the chassis.
In order to satisfy more requirement, Hiro-Seiko have released a new range imperial series of RC tools. With black, aluminium alloy handles, the tips are made from HSS which is durable and allow a long life. The new additions include a 0.05″, 1/16″, 5/64″ & 3/32″ easily identified by the name and size laser engraved on the tip. Hiro Seiko also sell spare tips to upgrade or replace your current tools.
Now available through Robitronic, the new line of wheel balancers from Tourex allow you identify unbalanced wheels and using the balancing putty you can rectify this problem. Eccentric tires ruin the ball bearings, hit out ball ends and make the cars difficult to control in curves and straight stretches. Available for 1:5 scale, 1:8 scale offroad and 1:10 scale. Tourex have also released their flywheel tool that enables the easy removal of the flywheel from the cone without scratches or dents.
