VSR Products have introduced their new Easy Diff Builder tool that fits all common 1/10 scale ball differential components 3/32” or smaller. It is designed to hold all of the diff balls in the main compartment, and then allows them to pour out the track in a single file line. VSR recommend tipping the Easy Ball Diff Builder over the greased diff gear, and tapping lightly on it to allow only one ball to exit at a time. Diff balls are not included of course.
Further expanding its tool range, Infinity has released a 5mm hex wrench which is perfect for adjusting cap screw without damaging the pivot ball inside the wheel hub. Made from aluminium, this gives it a premium feel in the hand while working on the Infinity IF15 or IF18 as well as cars from other brands.
RC-Cox helps to organise pit spaces with the introduction of their new aluminium tray for Arrowmax or Hudy setup systems. Machined from high-quality aluminium and sporting a detachable toe plate holder as well as a carbon fibre insert for looks, the tray was designed to hold 1/12th to 1/8th scale setup systems as well as the acrylic toe plate and four wheel thumb nuts. The toe plate holder can be attached on the left or right hand side as well as the back, ensuring the plate wouldn’t disturb the mechanic during building, setup or maintenance. RC Maker have introduced their new damper O-ring tool for Awesomatix touring cars. It is a simple, yet effective tool that aids in seating the O-ring into the damper, without pressurising the damper. It allows all excess oil to flow around the tool and out of the damper, which is crucial to the smooth assembly with the P45R round damper rubbers. Not only does it seat the O-ring and allows the excess oil to flow, it also acts as a scoop to get the excess oil out of the area, which is unwanted there when pressing the bearing in. When twisted it will act as a paddle to remove the oil from the slot. The tool is made from high-quality carbon fibre and it is available now.
New from Corner Speed RC is a turnbuckle tool that fits almost all on-road and off-road 1/10th scale vehicle ball-cups. The tool is made of black anodised 7075-T6 aluminium for high durability and it also features silver chamfered edges and laser-engraved logos for a professional look. It is a set of clamp style adaptors that fits on any standard vernier callipers to help building turnbuckles more precisely in no time. Arrowmax have added a differential hardness checker to their electronics line up. The small and compact device allows to measure the hardness of both gear and ball differentials which makes diff setup easier and more precise. Other than checking the differential setting the tool can also be used to pre-warm diffs before a run, which makes for better consistency. The device features a 5-digit decimal display, it is housed in a sturdy case and utilises a built-in Micro USB port for charging. The diff checker comes with both a standard outdrive insert and a 7mm nut driver adapters for touring car usage. Optionally available is a set of 1/8th buggy and GT adapters.
