GQ Soft Rim Technology for 1:10th 200mm

GQ America have announced their ‘soft rim’ tire technology, which gives racers extra speed and fine tuning for cold weather racing, bumpy and low grip tracks. Firstly, the outer edge of the rim in not soft, it is as stiff as their regular Pro Series Rims for high speed turns but moving from the outer edge toward the inner edge, GQ’s special plastic formulation becomes softer to enhance grip. What makes these rims so special is the unique plastic formulation developed by GQ’s PHD staff and the advance machinery needed to manufacture these rims.

Sweep Square Armor tire & Truggy dish wheel

With just days to go before the World Championships, Sweep Racing have released the Square Armor, a tire that would last longer and work better in various conditions. Taking on board what they have learnt in testing and listening to team drivers, they developed this tire which would fill that void in their tire line up. The tread size is the same as the Exagon but is 0.5mm thicker to prevent unexpected tire expansion under high revs. Supplied with the new V2 GRVD molded foam insert it fits on 81~83mm size wheels. Sweep have also released a new truggy dish wheel. Featuring an oversized diameter (100mm) for superior performance, it has a special cavity design that prevents the wheel nuts backing off and a rougher finish on the gluing surfaces for easier assembly. A gloss finish on the inside of the wheels for less mud build up and zero off-set, they are available in black, white and yellow.

Video – JConcepts new Inverse wheel

JConcepts drivers, Jason Ruona, Paul Wynn and JR Mitch have been busy performing pre-worlds testing at Coral Springs and Tampa, FL with a prototype version of the new JConcepts Inverse 1/8th scale buggy wheel. This new wheel which is unique in construction is 2-piece with the conventional design being inverted. This allows for a very smooth interior design which resists dirt and debris build-up during hard racing conditions while also providing stability. Additionally, the interior remains in focus as it can be adjusted to change the amount of natural flexibility of the wheel. The outside of the wheel is ribbed and braced for support while being protected and capped by a dish which gives the racer the option of color or dish swaps with ease. AKA Enduro Pre mounts

Set to be announced at iHobby this week, AKA will release their best selling Enduro 1:8 buggy tire in pre-mounted form. Since the release of the Enduro tire, it has quickly become a best seller in the AKA line and the request for a pre-mounted version pour in every week. The Enduro pre-mount will be available in Hard, Medium, Soft and Super Soft on both yellow and white wheels. These pre-mounts will have their award winning closed cell inserts inside and are all hand assembled with AKA Premium Tire Glue to ensure the tightest bond.

AKA SC tires now pre mounted on Cyclone wheels

By popular demand AKA will be releasing all of their SC tires pre-mounted on their new Cyclone SC wheels. The Wishbone, Enduro, Gridiron and Cityblock will be available in soft and super soft on all four variants of the Cyclone wheel to fit Traxxas, Associated, Kyosho, HPI and Jammin’ trucks. AKA SC pre-mounts feature AKA’s industry first closed cell insert to ensure durability and balance of each tire. Each AKA SC pre-mount is hand assembled using AKA Premium Tire Glue ensuring that the tires stay glued to the wheel using the same process as they use to assemble their best selling 1:8 pre-mounts.

New from CSO Racing are these anodised aluminium set up wheels for 1/10 EP and 1/10 GP cars. Specially designed so you don’t need to use your wheel nuts to fix the set up wheel, it features an o-ring around the outer circumference to protect your working surface.
