Alexander Hagberg continues with Orcan

Xray factory driver Alexander Hagberg has re-signed his contract with Orcan, the German company announces. Alexander will continue to use Orcan’s nitro engines, such as the newly designed .12 RS3-MH, fuel, mufflers and other accessories for this 2014 nitro on-road campaign. The 24 year old Swede is focused on the 200 I.C. World Championship in Bangkok this year and he will also compete at the European Championships and selected races of the Euro Nitro Series ENS as well as local races. This is what Alexander has to say about the deal:

For 2014, being a worlds year for the 200mm IC class, it will be more important than ever to have a good and reliable engine set-up. I will continue with my Orcan deal throughout this season, using engines, mufflers, fuel and accessories from the German brand at all my nitro races. Jonas Kaerup confirmed at Reedy & Associated for ’14

Jonas Kaerup confirmed at Reedy & Associated for '14

Long standing Team Associated driver Jonas Kaerup confirms his 2014 deal with both Team Associated and Reedy Power. “The Great Dane” will be an integral part of the Scandinavian line-up for 2014 and is a definitive member of the team. With many years experience in both on and off road classes, Jonas’ wealth of experience including a European Championship and numerous nationals titles will be essential in the development of the younger drivers. Jonas will help bring the team together and nurture the younger talent. This is what Jonas has to say about the deal:

I’ve had many amazing experiences and years racing with Team Associated and I’d like to continue to grind out some good results in my twilight years but my priority will be to develop the team and help wherever possible with the progress of the younger drivers. Having a son of my own who races has made it increasingly more visible to me that guidance and support in the right manor is so important. I had this help when I was younger and it would be nice to pass this knowledge on to somebody who can eventually enjoy the experiences I’ve had in my RC career.

Alex Zanchettin joins EZPower

EZPower announce the signing of Italian frontrunner Alex Zanchettin to their team. The TLR team driver, winner of the 2014 Italian Job Race, will use the company’s matched LiPo batteries during his 2014 1/10th and 1/8th electric off-road campaigns.

Travis Amezcua joins Xpert RC

Xpert RC have announced the signing of multiple IFMAR Worlds finalist and national champion, Travis Amezcua to run Xpert servos. Travis has already used the servos while dominating the 2014 Chi-Town Shoot Out, where he won the 2WD and 4WD buggy classes.

2014 Silver State Nitro Challenge – Announcement

The 2014 Silver State Nitro Challenge will take place from the 10th to 13th of April at the Boulder City Track in Las Vegas, NV with international super stars like Yuichi Kanai, Atsushi Hara and Kyle McBride in attendance. The event is also the second round of the USProCup 2014 and it will see the running of a Gas Buggy, Gas Truck and Electric Buggy category all of which are separated in three new classes; 100 percent, 99-1 percent and 0 percent chassis sponsor. Additionally 40 over Buggy and 40 over Truck will be held, separated into 100 percent chassis sponsored drivers and everyone else. Matt Chambers joins Tresrey & Yaiba Racing

Tresrey and Yaiba Racing announce the signing of top US off-road racer Matt Chambers. Matt brings with him years of professional racing experience and will assist with R&D and product development. Matt had this to say:

Mike Gosvig signs with Xray

Multiple Danish 1/10 on-road champion, Mike Gosvig has joinded the Xray factory team. In the recent years, Mike has repeatedly proven his talent and professional attitude as a private driver by winning multiple Danish Championships as well as greatly representing at the races. Mike now joined the Xray world racing team and will primarily focus on 1/8th and 1/10th off-road classes. This is what Mike has to say about the deal:

I am very honored to have the chance to be part of the most professional RC car company in the world. I have been racing Xray cars for some time now, and as such I know and admire their attention to detail, their high quality, and their outstanding performance which has allowed me to win many races. I am grateful for this opportunity to be part of the Team, so I can learn and improve my skills and in return give better results.
