Team Durango announce that IFMAR World Championship A finalist Travis Amezcua has signed for another 12 month with the UK-based company. The highly experienced Pro racer will continue to use Team Durango’s line of 1/10th off-road buggies and trucks during his busy 2014 campaign.

Horizon Hobby UK have made the shock announcement that 2012 EFRA 1/8th Offroad European Champion Darren Bloomfield has left the team. Although a reason was not given we should expect a statement from Darren in the coming days or weeks about a future deal. HH released the following statement:
It is with great disappointment and sadness that Horizon / TLR announce the departure of pro-racer Darren Bloomfield after a long 16 year association with the brand that dates back to the early 1990s when he was a young child. His on-track speed and prowess has always been a characteristic trademark for all to see but we wish to acknowledge and thank Darren for his unerring commitment to us as his sponsors throughout the years. Darren has been a great asset to the team and an ambassador for TLR / Horizon and we wish him all the very best for the future, both personally and professionally.

Viper R/C announce the latest addition to their team in the form of Chinese pro level driver Le-Hua Lin who recently secured a podium spot in the 4WD buggy class at the 2013 FEMCA championships. This is what Le-Hua has to say about the deal:
I am very proud to be part of Team Viper in the coming 2014 season. I will do my best to race in every event, and to support more Viper customers in local market. In the 2013 FEMCA race in Taiwan, I had my first hands-on experience with Viper products. I was extremely surprised and satisfied with the performance of VTX10R ESC as it was able to run 4WD buggy without a cooling fan. The first impression of driving VTX10R was its powerful output, and yet still so smooth in corners. It provides much more performance that allows me to attack the track aggressively. The throttle control gave me perfect balance to clear all technical jumps. The lap times dropped by a full second compared to my old ESC. I appreciate very much for this opportunity from Viper R/C.

Reedy announce the addition of JJ Wang to its international racing team. As one of the top up-and-coming young drivers, JJ will be a valuable asset to the team at races and in the testing and development of new products. Based in China, he will also help promote the Reedy brand there and in the rest of Asia by using them in his on-road and off-road campaigns. JJ will begin testing with his new equipment immediately in preparation for the final round of the Asian Onroad Championship at Yatabe Arena later this month. Reeddy wish JJ the best of luck in his debut event and are looking forward to a long and successful relationship as he continues his climb up the racing ladder.

After a successful campaign with FDL, Kyosho and Tekin Racing UK top driver Kevin Lee will join Team C, Absima and SMD to run Team C’s latest electric off-road cars and Absima electronics. This is what Kevin has to say about the deal:
It’s an exciting and busy time for Team C/Absima/SMD at the moment with lots of TM4 development work and many other plans in the pipeline. I wanted a piece of this, and that’s why I am so happy to have agreed a 2 year contract to run Team C cars and Absima Revenge electronics. Thanks to all at Team C/Absima/SMD for making it possible. I plan on attending the EOS, European Championships and Japan Worlds in 2015, so it’s definitely going to be an a fun time with a great team. Xray announce the addition of the young and talented French driver Lorenzo Crolla to their off-road team. Lorenzo will attend all French championship races, French Cup, European Championship and he will try to get his ticket for the World’s in Italy. Lorenzo has been as a private driver already and will now receive the full factory support for his 1/8th and 1/10th campaigns. Lorenzo has this to say about the deal:
