Xceed RC have announced that former World Champion Surikarn Chaidajsuriya from Thailand will use the company’s foam racing tires in the 1/10 scale 200mm class. Surikarn will race the Thailand Nationals and other big races in the region as well as the 2012 IFMAR World Championships which take place in his home country in November.

Apart from showing the up and coming 8 year old it also highlights his family’s involvement and how racing is a great family activity. Hobbywing have officially announced the signing of the young German touring car star Yannic Prumper. The factory Yokomo driver will join Andy Moore on the international Hobbywing team and looks to be a serious title contender for this year’s IFMAR World championships. Yannic made his international debut with the new V3 ESC last weekend at the fifth round of the series in the Netherlands and finished 4th overall. Yannic had this to say:

Italian National Champion Alessio Menicucci has changed power package for 2012. Alessio who has been Italian Champion and an ETS A-Main finisher will join a growing team of ORCA drivers in Europe which includes Alexander Hagberg, Adrian Berntsen and Marco Kaufmann. Alessio will be using the complete ORCA line with ORCA VX Speedo, RX2 Motors and Infinite LiPo Batteries. Alessio had this to say:
I am very happy about using ORCA in my car. It has a great combination of power, driveability, easy to adjust and setup and no temperature issues even in hot Italian weather. I already won the first round of the Italian Nationals using ORCA products and I am looking forward to the World Championships and the remaining ETS races 2012. Venom Australia have signed experienced off road driver, Scotty Jones, to drive for them in the 2012-2013 seasons. Scott has a lot of experience in off road racing, having competed solidly at highest levels in both 1/10th and 1/8th categories over the last 10 years. He is always ready to lend a helping hand with set up advice and to help out his fellow racer and this kind of great attitude and professional driving standard make Scotty the perfect driver for their new team. Scott had the following to say about his new deal:

Better known as a gas onroad racer new Thunder Power RC signing JJ Wang is making a name for himself throughout China as one of the rising stars of modified touring car and EP offroad. The 14 year old has launched his EP career with a 4th place finish in the FWD class at this year’s TITC race. Stepping up his game, powered by Thunder Power RC, JJ recently won the EP 4WD Short Course Truck and 2WD Buggy classes at the Horizon Hobby Cup. JJ will run Thunder Power RC Z3R motors and batteries to power his 2012-2013 racing season in China and at various International and US electric/LiPo events. JJ had this to say:

Team Dualsky have signed the 2012 TITC Champion Meen Vejrak to their team. Meen will attend many international events around the world this year using the Dualsky Track&Field power system. As well as obtaining results he will use his many years of racing experience to help Dualsky test all of their new products and push the development of Dualsky products forward. Meen had this to say:
After I have tested with Dualsky recently, I was very impressed with the efficiency of Track&Field ESC, batteries and Z5 Motor. I am really glad and thankful to join the Dualsky team. Novak Electronics have announced that Billy Fischer is newest member of the Novak Factory Team. Billy has made a name for himself as a fast driver, making podiums and A-Mains across the country for more than a few race seasons. Fischer’s first outing with Novak equipment was the 2012 Short Course Showdown Nationwide Tour at Competition Hobbies in Tucson, AZ where Billy TQ’d and won the coveted 4×4 SCT division using his Havoc Pro SC with X-Drive and Ballistic 550 4.5-turn Brushless Motor.
