Motonica have announced that Arnaud Mathieu has joined their French team to run the P81 Pro throughout the 2010 season. The partnership has already proved successful with Arnaud winning the Elite class at last weekend’s 2nd round of the French National Championships.

Bearing company ABEC35 were in touch to tell us of two new signings to their team, Francesco Tironi and Takaaki Shimo. The Italian Mugen driver will use the company’s high quality bearings in both this MRX-4 and MTX-4R, while current Japanese National Champion, Shimo, will run the bearings in his Kyosho Evolva M3 and V-One chassis’. Both drivers join a strong team that includes double World Champion Atsushi Hara and young Italian front runner Andrea Pirani.

Czech design company Dubi Design have announced that they have come to an agreement with current European 1/10th scale 200mm Champion Dirk Wischnewski. The German factory Xray driver will contest this season, which will include defending his European title in Sweden during the summer, sporting Dubi Design airbrushed shells.

Italian company Gi-Mar, whom we introduced for the first time at the Toy Fair back in early February, have announced that front running Belgian driver Robin D’hondt will join their team in a 2 year deal. The World and European Championship finalist, will use the JP Calandreau developed MIG series motors and exhaust systems in his Motonica chassis as part of the deal.

SMI Motorsport have announced that father and son team, Tom and Jochen Wiesner, have both made the switch to use Xray cars, Hudy accessories as well as the complete SMI / Orcan range including engines, fuel and maintenance products. They will both compete regionally, in the Mid division (Hessencup), as well as in the German championship in Sand and Fischach. Both, Tom and Jochen Wiesner, are very experienced and successful racers and had the following to say about the deal:

Shepherd are announcing that one of the world’s best rc-car drivers joins their team for the upcoming season. Marc Rheinard, 2-times IFMAR World Champion, 3-times EFRA European Champion and multi German National Champion, has decided to use the Shepherd Velox V10 at this years World Championship in Houston as well as at the European Championship in Goteborg. He will part of the Shepherd factory team to support them with all his racing experience. Marc had the following to say:
I’m really happy to be a part of the Shepherd Team for the upcoming season. It will be nice for me to work together with world class drivers like the reigning World Champion Daniele Ielasi, the former Worlds TQ driver Jilles Groskamp and all the other drivers in the team. I’m pretty sure that the support from Shepherd will be the best I can get and we are looking forward to have some good results at the Worlds and the Euros this year.

Matrix racing tires have announced that Raimondo Gilletti will join their already impressive team for the 2010 season. The Italian factory Team Magic/Novarossi driver will use Matrix tires in all of this year’s Italian National championship rounds as well as during the 1/10th 200mm World Championships that take place this summer in the USA. Raimondo’s 2010 campaign is also supported by Savox and Dynamic Fuel.

Horizon Hobby have announced that former European Champion and multiple Spanish National Champion Robert Batlle has chosen to use Spektrum DX3R radio, receivers and servos in his RC8 buggy. Robert had the following to say about the deal:
I’m excited to race with Spektrum, they are the first factory selling 2.4 system, I think this is the future so my team has decided to start working hard with them. The radio is really lighter and servos are perfect so I cannot want anything else. I hope achieve good results this year and I hope to help Spektrum in all we can.
