Jeff Hamon joins Arrowmax/Dash

Arrowmax have announce the signing of Jeff Hamon to their Factory Team. The IFMAR Worlds Finalist will represent Arrowmax by using the full range of products such as the signature Black and Gold tools, accessories as well as the products from Dash RC. The Multiple Australian Champion will also take over the role of graphic design through his own J-specs brand. Jeff had the following to say:

I am really honoured to have joined the Arrowmax / Dash Family. The products these brands produced are second to none! The quality of the Arrowmax tools and equipment is so good. Not to mention how awesome they make your pit bench look. The Dash servos and electronics will be used in all my race programs. After testing the range of Servos in my onroad cars, I can say they are top shelf.

David Loppini joins WRC racing team

WRC have announced that front running Italian National driver David Loppini has joined their team. David is a former Italian vice Champion in the 1/10th 200mm class as well as a multiple Euro Nitro Series main finalist, having raced for Xray prior to this most recent move to the Italian manufacturer.

Capricorn RC sign up Alex Thurston

Capricorn RC have announced the addition of top British driver Alex Thurston to their line-up of international drivers. After seven years with Serpent and achieving some great results, Alex will team up with Kyle Branson (above) to contest the UK Nationals along with major international events. Thurston will continue to race 1/8th and 1/10th scale GP classes as well as some limited 1/10th EP. He had the following to say about the deal:

I am super happy to be joining the Capricorn team. I have been very impressed with the drive of the team to improve and progress their products. Capricorn are one of the top leading brands in onroad and I’m proud to be a part of that. Jessica Palsson teams up with Nemo Racing

Nemo Racing have announced the addition of Jessica Palsson to their factory team. After the final round of the Swedish cup Jessica will be using the newly released Agama A319 powered by Bullitt motors as well as running the upcoming A319e electric buggy – to add to her impressive list of race wins and championships. Her progress to towards the top of the sport has been rapid and Nemo Racing can’t wait to help contribute to her success. Jessica says:

I am really happy and excited to join the Agama Racing team for 1:8 buggy. I am very thankful for this great opportunity to work with Nemo Racing and my new team. I can`t wait to start race with Agama A319 and Bullitt B-223 next season! Specially a big thanks for all help to my new Team Boss – Jon!

HB Racing sign Jason Nugroho

HB Racing have announced the signing of Indonesian off-road star, Jason Nugroho to their team. Jason will use the D819 1/8th scale and D418 1/10th scale buggies at national Indonesian events as well as major events around the world. His vast racing experience will be a valuable addition to the team with Jason having already scored some high-class race results around Asia.

Bruno Coelho powered by SRC Racing Power Fuel

SRC Racing from Italy have announced the addition of IFMAR World Champion, Bruno Coelho to their Power Fuel team. Bruno will use the company’s 16 percent and 25 percent nitro fuels to power his Xray gas on-road and off-road rides for the remainder of this season and beyond.

Atsushi Hara appointed Neidhart Asian sales manager

Neidhart has announced the signing of 2-times IFMAR World Champion, Atsushi Hara as their Asian sales manager. Hara, who won the 2008 1/8th scale Off-Road IFMAR World Championship title with the Neidhart brand HB Racing, will now take over the position as sales manager for Asia. As such, he will be responsible for the sale of all Neidhart brands in the Asian market. Interested dealers and distributors can reach Hara at atsushi@neidhart.com. Besides his job as sales manager Asia, he will also be involved in the development of new vehicles and electronics for the HB Racing, Team Orion and Performa Racing brands while also attending select local and international events. Atsushi has the following to say about the deal:

I would like to say thanks so much to Mr. Philippe Neidhart, Oscar Jansen and Adrien Bertin for giving me this great opportunity. Also, I am very happy to come back to HB Racing as my “Home.” When I left HB Racing in 2013, I didn’t think I could come back. Coelho again in Q2

Bruno Coelho claimed another TQ run in the second round of qualifying at the Dutch ETS in Apeldoorn this morning, this time the Xray driver topping the times from Awesomatix’s Lucas Urbain.  Having taken yesterday evening’s opening qualifier, Coelho quickly pulled clear of Freddy Sudhoff, the top seed gambling to begin the day on used tyres which after 5-minutes left him P4.  On new tyres, the main challenger to Coelho on the clock would come from Urbain and Alexander Hagberg but with a fastest lap 2/10ths up on everyone else the reigning Champion always had a decent margin in hand.  For a time Ronald Volker looked on target for another Top 3 until he suffered a mechanical just after the 2-minute mark while on his second set of tyres.  It would be Hagberg who would complete the Top 3 5/100th off Urbain after he got stuck behind Jilles Groskamp for a number of laps towards the end of the heat.
